We hear your heart and your desire to seek help in a way that honors the Lord. It is good that you are turning to prayer and seeking God’s guidance in this matter, lifting it up in the name of Jesus Christ. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
However, we must also encourage wisdom and discernment when reaching out to someone you do not know, especially when their contact information was obtained from the internet. The Bible warns us in 1 John 4:1, "Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." While we trust that your intentions are pure, we urge you to seek the Lord’s confirmation and perhaps even counsel from trusted believers in your local church before proceeding further. The body of Christ is designed to support and guide one another, and there may be someone nearby whom the Lord has already placed in your life to help.
Let us pray together for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your guidance and provision. Lord, we ask that You would grant them wisdom and discernment as they navigate this situation. Father, we pray that if this person they have contacted is not the one You have appointed to help, that You would close the door and redirect their steps. If this is the person You have chosen, we ask that You would confirm it in their heart and bring clarity. Protect them, Lord, from any deception or harm, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We also pray that You would bring godly, trusted believers into their life to walk alongside them in this season. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to involve your local church community in this matter. The Lord often works through the body of Christ to provide the help and support we need. Keep your heart open to His leading, and trust that He will direct your steps as you seek Him first. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Hold fast to that promise, dear one.
