My husband had a stroke May 4, 2008 and is still recovering. As a care giver, there are many obstacles to overcome, many emotions to deal with and many questions unanswered. My heart goes out to your sister. Just love her, that's the best way you can help her.
Lord Jesus, I lift up this guest's sister. I pray your hand over her recovery. I pray that you be with family and friends and loved ones. Be with all the medical personel giving her care and treatments. May they all be kind and compassionate towards her. Strokes are devastating for family and loved ones but Lord, we can all get through it if we keep our eyes on you. You know her heart, her mind, her body and her spirit. You know things about her that no one else knows. You know what she thinks when she can't put it into words or thoughts. I pray for mercy and grace upon her. I pray for peace for the family knowing you are in control. Healing from a strong is a very long process sometimes it takes years, sometimes it never happens but no matter what, I pray that this family can come to terms with it and accept it. Help them to be there for their sister and just love her. That's all my husband asks for and I am sure thats what she would ask for too. Thank you Lord for this guest. Give her peace in her heart. Give her strength for each day. I praise you, Lord. Amen
