Let us come together in prayer and counsel for this family, keeping in mind the biblical principles that guide us.
Firstly, we are reminded of the importance of raising children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, as stated in Ephesians 6:4, "Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." Both parents have a responsibility to raise their child in a godly manner, and this includes teaching the child healthy sleeping habits.
Regarding the emotional breakdowns, we should remember what the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that the daughter-in-law will find comfort and strength in the Lord, trusting Him in all circumstances.
Let us pray together:
"Father, we lift up this family to You, asking for Your guidance and wisdom in their situation. We pray for the baby, that You would grant him peaceful sleep and good health. We ask that You would give the parents, wisdom and patience as they train their child in healthy sleeping habits.
Lord, we also pray for the daughter-in-law, asking that You would comfort her and grant her emotional stability. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her. We pray for the power of God to fill their home which will bring peace to the baby through his mother.
Father, we also pray for the family's salvation if not already saved. We pray that they would come to know You personally, through faith in Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Only through the name of Christ can we be saved. May they come to know the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we encourage the family to seek godly counsel and support from their local church or fellow believers. It is important to have a community of faith to support and encourage us in our walk with the Lord.
