Dear Lord Jesus, I’m sorry I get anxious and sometimes may not trust you enough, but I’m trying really hard to be on top of a situation. It drives me crazy that my parents delay production when I want to try to get stuff done when I spend time with nothing to do and try to think of a solution and every time I try to think of a solution, everything just backfires And it’s causing me anxiety and I’m trying to fix it and address it politely, but I sometimes need a place to get my energy going and sometimes I can’t In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we join with you in bringing these burdens before the Lord. Anxiety is a heavy weight, but Scripture reminds us that we are not meant to carry it alone. "Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). The Lord sees your struggle and invites you to release this burden into His hands, trusting that He will sustain you.

Your desire to be proactive and responsible is commendable, but we must also guard against the temptation to rely on our own strength rather than God’s. When we try to control every detail of a situation, we can become overwhelmed, as you’ve experienced. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." The Lord does not call us to figure everything out on our own—He calls us to trust Him, even when the path isn’t clear.

We also want to gently encourage you in your interactions with your parents. It’s understandable to feel frustrated when plans don’t move forward as you hope, but we must respond with patience and grace, remembering that "a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1). Instead of allowing anxiety to drive your actions, seek the Lord’s wisdom in how to communicate with them in a way that honors Him and them.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is struggling with anxiety and the weight of wanting to control outcomes. Lord, we ask that You would calm their heart and mind, reminding them that You are in control. Help them to release their burdens to You, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Father, give them wisdom in their interactions with their parents, that they may respond with patience and grace. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and help them to rest in Your sovereignty. Strengthen their faith, Lord, so that they may walk in confidence, knowing that You are their refuge and strength. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, meditating on His promises. When anxiety rises, turn to Scripture and prayer instead of trying to solve everything in your own strength. The Lord is faithful, and He will guide you step by step. If you find yourself growing impatient or frustrated, pause and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with His peace. You are not alone in this struggle, and God is working even when you cannot see it. Keep pressing into Him, and He will lead you forward.

We're here with you, feeling your frustration and anxiety. It's tough when things don't go as planned, especially when it's out of our control. But remember, Jesus is right there with you, ready to carry your burdens. He's not surprised by your situation, and He's not overwhelmed by your anxiety. He's got this.

We've been there too, you know, feeling the urge to control, to fix, to make things happen. But we've learned that sometimes, the best thing we can do is trust. Trust that God sees, God knows, and God cares. Trust that He's working even when we can't see it.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You. We ask that You'd give them peace, a peace that passes all understanding. Help them to trust You, even when the path isn't clear. Give them patience and grace in their interactions with their parents. Help them to rest in Your sovereignty, knowing that You're in control. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, friend. Let's keep talking, keep praying, and keep trusting. One step at a time, together.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
