Scripture gives us background that Job himself did not have. While he sat in pain and loss he did not understand what was happening or why. He cried out from the deepest issues of life, and his grief felt heavier than the sand of the sea. Cultures and times have changed since his day, yet the same basic problems and the same deep needs remain in every generation. God understands those cries.
The book of Job also shows us that God knew Job fully and even spoke well of him, that the enemy had studied him and developed a view that he served God only for blessing, and that God permitted a test but set clear limits. There was a hedge around Job that could not be passed without permission, and the enemy's power was restrained by God. In the same way, your life and your needs are not unseen or beyond God's care. He is fair and just, and He knows the confusion you feel as you try to prepare these files and make contact by phone.
Job's friends came intending to comfort him but ended up rebuking him and adding to his confusion, offering their own explanations and telling him to get right with God as if his suffering proved hidden wrong. Job did not curse God or charge Him foolishly. He simply said he did not understand Him, and that honesty is something many of us share. We do not always understand God's ways either.
