A New Year’s Discourse
Life is fleeting and demands urgent preparation for eternity and service to Christ today.
The Well by the Gate
The Gospel well offers living water for the soul's deepest thirst and calls you to drink freely now.
Delay is Dangerous
Delaying salvation risks eternal loss, so trust Christ now and find immediate joy and security.
We have heard your cry and we are lifting you up before the throne of grace right now, for our God hears the cries of the suffering and He does not turn away. We do not know the details of what you are going through, but the Lord knows every tear and every burden you carry.

The Word reminds us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 and that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 We want you to know you are not alone and you are deeply loved by God. He invites us to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 Whatever the source of your suffering, whether it is physical pain, emotional anguish, spiritual oppression, or circumstances that feel overwhelming, we bring it all to Him together.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently share this truth with you because we care for your soul. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we can be saved and find true peace. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 He suffered and died and rose again so that in our suffering we could have hope, forgiveness, and eternal life with Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious one who is suffering so deeply. Lord, You see what we cannot see and You know the pain that has caused this cry for help. We ask that You wrap Your arms of comfort around them right now, that You would give them Your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray that You would be their refuge and strength, that You would lift this burden, heal what is broken, provide for what is lacking, and deliver them from whatever is oppressing them. Lord, reveal Yourself to them as the God who loves them and who gave Your Son for them. Draw them close to Jesus, give them faith to call upon His name, and help them to cast every care upon You. Lead them to godly help and support around them, to brothers and sisters in Christ who can walk with them, and give them strength for each day. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to call upon the Lord and to not suffer in silence. If you can, please share more with us so we can pray more specifically, and seek out a trusted pastor or biblical counselor and a local church family to support you in person. If your suffering involves thoughts of harming yourself or feeling you cannot go on, please reach out right away to a trusted person near you or a local helpline for immediate help while we continue to pray. Keep seeking the Lord through prayer and His Word, for He promises that those who seek Him will find Him when they seek with all their heart. We are continuing to pray for you and we ask God to show you His mercy, His nearness, and His deliverance in Jesus name.

We heard you. Thank you for reaching out even while you are hurting so much. We want you to know you are not alone in this moment and we are holding you in prayer.

Suffering can feel isolating and overwhelming, like nothing is steady. Please try not to carry this by yourself tonight. Sometimes the most helpful thing is simply having another person present with you, without needing to fix everything or find the right words right away.

If you can, would you reach out today to one safe person near you, a family member, friend, pastor, or counselor, and let them know you are suffering and need company. If you have ongoing pain or distress that worries you, please also consider contacting your doctor or a trusted care provider alongside prayer.

We know reaching out takes courage when you feel worn down, and we honor that you reached out here. We care about you and we will keep praying for you.

Father, we bring this person who is hurting to You in Jesus name. You see their suffering and hear their cry. Draw near and give them peace and comfort and strength for this day. Surround them with caring people and guide them to the help they need. Remind them they are loved and not forgotten. In Jesus name, amen.

Your cry has come up unto God, and He has heard your groaning. Though your words are few and broken, the Lord understands the voice of a soul in bondage and in misery, and that sharp, shrill cry bursts through the gates of heaven.

You are suffering, and it is well that there is such a promise as this on record, for believers need comfort, and the Lord Himself has said, As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you. Think of that tenderness. As a mother puts her head to her weeping child and weeps with him, so the Lord draws near to you not with harshness but with gentleness, to suit His comfort to your present place and position. Even where His furnace is hottest, even there shall you have your comfort, for His fire is in Zion and His furnace in Jerusalem.

You feel as a bruised reed and smoking flax, weak and unable to do anything, your best resolves vain, your strength gone. Blessed be God, this word is for you. Jesus Christ says He will not break the bruised reed, nor quench the smoking flax. He means more than that He will merely spare you. He means He will nourish and help and strengthen and support you, and make you glorious forever. You who are feeble are just as safe as those who are mighty for their Master, for your keeping does not depend upon your strength but upon His.

Hear also this solid comfort for tried believers, God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able. He has power to limit temptation and He has wisdom to measure it. He knows how much you are able to bear, and He appoints the continuance as well as the weight of the trial. If some trials lasted longer they would be too heavy, but the Lord weighs every grain. Rest assured, if He does not yet remove the burden, it is because there is not urgent need for His interposition beyond what His grace already supplies, and He will with the temptation also make a way to escape.

Do not seek comfort alone in your own house while refusing the place where comfort is most often found. The richest comforts are reserved for those who fear the Lord and often speak one to another, and the assembly of God's people is the appointed place of comfort. Go up to the house of the Lord, hear His Word, and pour out your heart there.

And above all, flee to the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. There is salvation in no other, and there is comfort in no other. He who writes his own death warrant and feels he deserves to die is the very man for whom Christ has opened the door of mercy, saying, Come unto Me. Confess your sin, trust His atoning blood, and cast yourself wholly upon Him. He will never leave you nor forsake you, for His mercy endureth forever, and He will not forsake the work of His own hands.

May the Lord turn your sighing into singing, and sustain you in this trouble till He delivers you out of it, and may you yet live to declare what He has done.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry in the midst of suffering has been heard and we are lifting you up in prayer before God who loves mankind.

We know that pain can feel so heavy that it fills every part of the soul and makes it hard to think or find rest. It is not much comfort to be told that others also suffer, because when anguish is deep the heart needs more than that cold hope. True comfort comes from God himself, who does not leave us alone in our affliction.

The Scripture teaches that Jesus Christ, the captain of our salvation, was made perfect through sufferings. He did not need to gain anything for himself, for he already possessed all glory, but he chose to suffer for us, outside the gate, bearing reproach, so that he might sanctify his people with his own blood. When you suffer, you are not forgotten by him. He knows what it is to endure pain and he draws near to those who call upon him. Our afflictions, when borne with faith and patience, can become a sharing in his sufferings, and God is able to bring consolation and salvation even through them.

Long suffering is the root of endurance. Like a spark that falls into the deep and is quickly quenched, troubles that fall upon a patient soul lose their power to overwhelm it, not because the trouble is small, but because God steadies the soul that trusts him. He calls us to go to him without shame, to bear his reproach with hope, and to find strength in him.

We are praying for you now, asking the Father to grant you comfort, peace, and strength through Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other name. We ask him to ease your inward tempest, to guard your heart and mind, and to surround you with faithful help. Do not walk through this alone. Please reach out to a trusted pastor or priest, and to faithful brothers and sisters who can stand with you, pray with you, and help you day by day. Brother helped by brother is like a fortified city, and God often brings his help through his Church.

If you are in distress that feels unsafe, please seek help right away from a pastor, a trusted person near you, or appropriate local help where you are.

We will continue to pray for you, for your endurance, for your peace, and for your full trust in Christ. May the Lord who suffered for you and rose again keep you, comfort you, and lead you into his hope. Please let us know how we can continue to pray for you.
