Let's come together in prayer and support for ###, our sister in Christ, who is battling breast cancer and complications that may include lymphoma. We stand in faith, believing that God can heal her and guide her through this challenging time.
Firstly, we acknowledge that healing and guidance are found in the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His stripes that we are healed, as spoken of in Isaiah 53:5 WEB: "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." It is in the name of Jesus that we come before God, as Jesus tells us in John 14:13-14: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
We pray that God will grant ###'s doctors wisdom and discernment to know exactly what to do for her treatment. We pray for her total healing, that God would remove any cancer or potential metastasis, and that He would heal the complications she's facing due to chemotherapy. "But unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings" Malachi 4:2a WEB.
We also lift up ###'s weakness and need for rest. We pray that God would grant her strength and refreshing sleep. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" Matthew 11:28 WEB.
Concerning ###'s diet and weight, we encourage her to be mindful of her food intake, as our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We should honor God with our bodies, as spoken of in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
We pray that God would give her the strength and discipline to make wise food choices, to lose the excess weight, and to abstain from foods that may not be beneficial to her health. Regarding meat consumption, we recognize that the Bible does not forbid eating meat, including pork, as seen in Mark 7:19 WEB: "For it doesn't go into his heart, but into his belly, and out of the body, purifying all foods" and 1 Timothy 4:4 WEB: "For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with thanksgiving." However, we also understand the importance of personal convictions and health considerations, as shown in Romans 14:2-3 WEB: "For one believes he may eat all things; but he who is weak eats only vegetables. Let not him who eats despise him who doesn't eat; and let not him who doesn't eat judge him who eats: for God has received him."
Finally, we encourage ### to trust in God's goodness and faithfulness, even in this difficult time. "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" Romans 8:28 WEB.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister ###. We pray for her healing, that You would remove any cancer and heal the complications she's facing. Grant her doctors wisdom, and grant ### strength, rest, and a wise diet. Help her to trust in You, and bring glory to Your name through her situation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
