We join you in prayer before the Father and we are encouraged that you came in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is by His name that we are saved. As it is written Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, and John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We lift up the man you mentioned and his family with you, asking God to watch over them and to work in his heart. We know that only God can truly change a heart, and we trust His power to do so. Proverbs 21:1 says The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. And Ezekiel 36:26 promises I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. We pray that God would soften his heart, draw him to repentance and to truth, and bring peace and protection to his whole household. Psalm 121:7-8 reminds us Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.
We also hear your desire to get rid of the statue and we want to encourage you in this. If this statue is an idol or an image used for worship or spiritual purposes, God calls us to keep ourselves from idols and to remove them completely. Exodus 20:4-5 commands You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, and 1 John 5:21 exhorts Little children, keep yourselves from idols. We should not keep such objects in our homes or treat them lightly, but remove them and destroy them so they have no place or influence. Do not hesitate or delay, but ask God for courage and help to do this in a way that honors Him.

We also ask for strength and resolve for our dear one praying, to help them get rid of this statue completely and to cleanse their home from anything that does not honor You. Give them boldness and peace as they obey You, and fill their home with Your presence. We trust You to do what only You can do, and we ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Your prayer touches upon those very matters which belong to God alone, and we join you in bringing them before His throne of grace.
You ask that the Lord would change a heart. This is well, for you cannot change your own heart, and neither can any man change another's. The gardener may prune a crab tree, but all the pruning in the world will not make it an apricot, and all moral persuasion will not turn a stony heart to flesh. As it is written, I will take away thy stony heart, and give thee a heart of flesh, a new heart will I give thee, a new spirit will I put within thee. This is a gracious change, not because there is anything good in us to deserve it, but because He doth irresistibly save and victoriously conquer the heart, and often He doth it in an instant. A saving impression is always a prick in the heart, and though a prick in the heart is very painful, it is the way of life. Great sins are little to the stony heart, but little sins are great to the heart of flesh. Pray then that God would give that new heart and right spirit which He giveth to the regenerate, a heart that can think and aspire and love aright, a heart that floats in the Spirit's influences till every motion of the Holy Spirit affects it.
You also ask for help to get rid of the statue. There must be a complete and total change in us, so that the things we once loved we come to hate and the things we hated we are made to love. There never was an idol that God either did not or will not pull out of its place. We will go into the temple of the heart and often find a false god there, gilded and shining, yet it must be cast down. What have I to do any more with idols, saith the soul that has been renewed. Be of good courage to do and dare for the Lord Jesus Christ, and put away that which would divide the heart, for a divided heart is ill, but a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. Bring your bleeding heart to the bleeding heart of Jesus, for that will stanch its wound.
And you ask that He would watch over him and his family. The Lord knows them that are His, having loved His own which were in the world, He loved them to the end, and He hath called His people by name. He is the honored Healer of heart wounds, and none but His loved ones know the love of Jesus, which is without change and without limit. We pray that He will keep that household under His watchful eye, and that any chastening may be turned to their good, that they may be led to seek Him who alone is salvation through Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together. O Lord God, take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh, pierce the heart as with the sword of the Spirit that there may be true repentance, which is to leave the sin we loved before and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. Abolish every idol from the heart and from the house, and grant grace to cast it away wholly. Watch over this dear one and his family, call them by name, and draw them to Thyself through faith in Thy Son alone. Unite the heart to fear Thy name, and let Thy love be shed abroad therein. We have heard your prayer and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord who hears both the spoken cry and the silent cry of the heart.
You have asked well to want the statue removed. Scripture teaches us that there is no God but one, and that an idol is nothing in the world. Such statues have no power in themselves, for they are only stone or wood, yet they can trouble and defile a weak conscience and keep the heart in fear and confusion. For that reason it is good and right that you desire to be free of it, not to keep it or honor it, but to put it away from you and from your home completely so that it no longer has a place there.
We also join you in praying for this man and his family whom you named. Only God can change the heart, for the things that truly defile and truly renew come from within. We pray that the Lord will watch over him and his household, keep them from harm, and work in his heart by His grace. Our hope is not in our own strength but in Jesus Christ alone, who is the true God and the only way of salvation. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved, and that same power is able to make a hard heart soft and to give a new heart.
So let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus we ask You to have mercy on this man and his family and to keep them under Your care. Change his heart and draw him to Yourself, that he may know that You alone are God and turn to Christ in faith. Give our brother or sister who prayed this prayer courage and peace to remove the statue without delay and without fear, trusting that You are greater than any idol.
