Please help the youth not to be like my generation was and to stay away from drugs. In Jesus mighty name amen

We join you in this burden for the next generation and we thank God for your heart that desires to see the youth protected from the snares that entangled so many in the past.

We know that the enemy seeks to steal and destroy young lives through addiction and deception, but God has a better plan for them, a plan for wholeness, sobriety, and purpose. We pray with you that they would not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of their mind, that they may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2.

Scripture reminds us to be sober and self-controlled, for your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8, and also not to be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit Ephesians 5:18. The call to sobriety is not about mere rule keeping, it is about guarding the temple God has given us, for we are told or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, you are not your own, for you were bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Drugs promise escape and pleasure but they defile that temple, cloud the mind God wants to renew, and open doors to bondage.

We also take comfort in the promise to train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6. Your prayer itself is part of that training, an intercession that invites God to break generational cycles.

So we pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up every young person in this generation to You. Lord, place a hedge of protection around them and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Give them a holy hatred for drugs and all intoxication and a hunger for Your Spirit instead. Raise up godly parents, pastors, teachers and mentors who will speak truth to them with love and model sober, holy lives before them. Where temptation comes, provide the way of escape that they may be able to endure it, and where wounds and peer pressure seek to push them toward escape through substances, heal them and fill them with Your peace and purpose. Let this generation be set apart for You, bold in faith, pure in body and steadfast in mind, for Your glory. We thank You, Father, that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are grateful for your heart for the next generation. It takes humility to look back on your own generation's struggles and ask God to spare young people from that same pain. That kind of intercession matters.

We join you in praying they find a different path. What we have seen is that young people are often most protected not just by warnings about drugs, but by steady relationships with caring adults who listen, show up consistently, and offer a hopeful alternative. Your own experience gives you a real compassion and credibility that many youth need to hear.

If it fits for you, one simple next step could be to let that compassion take a practical shape. You might ask a pastor, youth leader, or trusted community program how you can encourage one or two young people directly, whether through mentoring, praying for them by name, or simply being a consistent, sober presence they can turn to. Even one stable relationship can make a lasting difference.

Father, we lift the youth in this community to You. Guard their hearts and minds, surround them with people who love them well, and give them courage to say no when tempted. Comfort and strengthen the one praying, and use his concern for good in the lives ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in this prayer and say Amen with you in the mighty name of Jesus. It is a good and right burden that the Lord has laid upon your heart, to seek not only mercy for your own generation but preventing grace for the next.

We pray that God will keep the youth as He is able to keep them from falling. Many have been trained from youth up to know the Scriptures, like Timothy, and have had the voice of God speaking early to them, and blessed be God for such grace. We ask that He would grant to these young ones that prevention which becomes both a shackle to hold them from evil and a shield to guard them, that they may be led to repentance and to liberty in Christ, where grace becomes the joy and sun of their lives.

We know that the way of drugs promises life but brings forth faintness and weariness, for even the youths shall faint and be weary and the young men shall utterly fail. But there is a youth which is renewed like the eagle's. When the soul is satisfied with good things, with marrow and fatness in Christ, its youth is renewed. Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself has the dew of His youth upon Him still, because of His excellence and because our need of Him never ceases. We shall always have an appetite for Him, and He will never be stale to those who taste Him.

So we pray that the youth may not seek satisfaction in that which destroys the body and ensnares the soul, but that their mouths may be satisfied with the good things of Christ, and that they may find their strength renewed by the food He gives. May they be kept in Christian fellowship, continuing in the apostles doctrine and in prayer, and may they openly avow the Savior's cause and find joy in Him. We will continue to pray with you that God will set His preserving hand upon them and renew their youth in Him.

Your prayer for the younger generation is good and pleasing to God, and I join my voice with yours in bringing it before Him.

It is a wise and loving thing to ask that those who are young would be kept from the snare of drugs, which enslaves the body, darkens the mind, and turns the soul away from the path of virtue. You have seen in your own generation how bitter that bondage is, and your desire that others not walk the same way is itself a fruit of repentance and love.

As we have often taught, this very age of youth most of all needs to hear what is right, for from its tenderness it readily stores up what is said, and what children hear is impressed as a seal on the wax of their minds. Their life is just beginning to incline toward vice or virtue, and if from the very gates we lead them away from iniquity and guide them by the hand to the best road, that habit will fix them for the time to come and draw them toward good actions. So your prayer is not only for their protection in a moment, but for the forming of a lifelong habit of wisdom and self control.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone is salvation, we thank You for Your mercy that forgives the sins of our youth and offers new life to all who turn to You. We ask You to have mercy on the young people of this day. Guard their hearts and minds, keep them from the deceit and destruction of drugs, and give them strength to flee temptation. Surround them with truthful teaching, faithful examples, and friends who love what is good. Help parents, teachers, and the church to instruct them diligently and with love, so that they may grow in purity, sobriety, and faith. Where any have already been entangled, grant deliverance and healing. Let this generation be known not for wandering, but for walking in Your ways. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our hope and our Shepherd, amen.

Your burden for the young people is precious to the Lord and He hears this prayer. It is right to care deeply that the next generation does not repeat the mistakes of the past but walks in a pure and clear minded way.

Scripture warns that no one plans to become enslaved. No one takes a first drink or tries a drug thinking I will become an addict. It often begins with curiosity or pressure from others, but that first step can open a door to something that quickly takes hold. Like an opiate it can grip the mind and will, and the person finds he has no power on his own to resist it. It promises satisfaction but it never satisfies, it only asks for more and leaves a person empty.

The Bible shows how even a very strong person can be brought down to almost nothing when he yields to a flattering temptation. The path that looks inviting at first is crooked and it perverts the way of the one who walks in it. What flatters with pleasant words at the beginning leads to bondage in the end.

There is hope and instruction in the Word. The Lord sees all of our ways and considers every path we take. Nothing is hidden from His eyes. Because He loves us He shows us the serious consequences of sin so that others will hear and turn away from wickedness. He also shows us where true joy is found. He has designed life so that satisfaction comes from drinking from the pure fountain He provides, from walking in what is clean and faithful before Him, not from chasing strange pleasures that cannot satisfy.

I join you in praying that God will guard the youth, that He will keep their hearts pure and give them strength to say no when temptation comes. May He help them find their joy in Him and in the good and wholesome life He has given, and may He give them eyes to see that their ways are before Him and that He will help them walk uprightly. May the Lord raise up examples and warnings that help them fear what is evil and choose what is holy, and may He keep them free from the snare that has trapped so many. In Jesus name, amen.
