We join you in lifting up your family before the throne of God, seeking His protection, healing, and increased faith. We stand in agreement with you, asking for God's will to be done in your life and in the life of your loved ones.
Let us remember the words of Jesus in John 17:11, "Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one." Just as Jesus prayed for His disciples, we pray for you and your family, asking God to keep you all in His name, that you may be one, even as Jesus and the Father are one.
Regarding your closer relationship with a loved one, we encourage you to seek God's will in this situation. We pray that God will guide you both, and if it is His will, that He would bring you both closer together in a manner that honors Him. Remember, in 2 Corinthians 6:14, it is written, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" It is crucial that you both are believers in Jesus Christ and are equally yoked in your faith and commitment to God.
Also, if this relationship is one of courtship, where you both are believers, we pray that you would seek marriage, the lifelong commitment instituted by God. In Genesis 2:24, it is written, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." We encourage you to pursue a godly marriage, not just a closer relationship.
We also commend you for ending your prayer in the name of Jesus. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ and their family. We ask for Your protection, healing, and increased faith for them all. We pray for their loved one, asking that Your will be done in their relationship. If it is Your will, bring them closer together in a manner that honors You. We pray these things in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, our Messiah. Amen.
