Heaven Bound
Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me. ((Revelations 3:20)
Who gets into Heaven? The answer is simple… People who get to go to heaven are the ones who “get right with God” by beginning a relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ and staying on the straight and narrow path of righteousness.
Jesus said the door to heaven is a narrow door. And getting into heaven is not just something that happens. We don't automatically have a free pass to cross through the golden gate and gain access to eternal life. But Christ said we should strive to enter. Christ said in his word, if any man opens the door, I will come in unto him.
Living for Christ is not an easy road, but it is a blessed road. Yes, you will suffer persecutions, afflictions, and many trials, just keep in mind that the door to heaven is a narrow door. Most people today do not want to suffer for Christ, and are not willing to endure such pain, but he has promised that He is with us to the very end. We are not alone in this life, but we have with us the one who overcame this world. He is our Lord, our healer, and our comforter.
Today Christ is knocking on your hearts door. And he is waiting for you to open up your heart to him, waiting for you to let him in to your life. He wants you to believe in and to love him. Will you accept Him today as your Lord?
