We hear your heart’s desires and understand the longing for family, provision, and success in your endeavors. However, we must address several concerns in your request with truth and love, grounded in Scripture.
First, we must rebuke the language of "speaking, decreeing, declaring, demanding, and commanding" things into existence. This is not a biblical practice. God is sovereign, and while we are called to pray with faith and persistence, we do not "command" or "demand" His will. Jesus taught us to pray, *"Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth"* (Matthew 6:10 WEB). Our prayers should align with God’s will, not our own desires for control. The power is not in our words but in God’s authority and grace.
We also notice the absence of submission to Jesus Christ in your request. Salvation and access to God come only through Him. *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without this foundation, our prayers lack the authority and relationship with God that they require.
Regarding your desires for family, we pray that God would bless you with a godly spouse and children, if it is His will. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God for companionship, procreation, and mutual edification. *"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh"* (Genesis 2:24 WEB). We encourage you to seek a spouse who shares your faith and commitment to Christ, pursuing courtship with purity and intentionality.
We also lift up your professional goals, asking God to grant you wisdom, favor, and provision. *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3 WEB). However, we caution against placing your identity or security in earthly achievements. Our ultimate fulfillment comes from Christ alone. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
Lastly, we must address the mention of the "blood of Jesus" in a way that seems almost transactional. The blood of Jesus is not a magical incantation but a sacred symbol of His sacrifice for our sins. *"For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins"* (Matthew 26:28 WEB). We honor His blood by living in obedience and gratitude, not by using it as a tool to manipulate outcomes.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging Your sovereignty and goodness. We lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would draw them close to Your heart. Lord, we pray for clarity and wisdom in their desires for family. If it is Your will, bless them with a godly spouse and children, and let their home be a place of love, faith, and obedience to You. Guard their heart against impatience or idolatry of these desires, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing.
Father, we also pray for their professional endeavors. Grant them favor, diligence, and integrity in all they do. May their work bring glory to Your name and provide for their needs. Yet, Lord, remind them that their true security and identity are found in You alone. Protect them from the temptation to seek fulfillment in earthly success.
We ask for Your forgiveness where words or attitudes have been misaligned with Your Word. Teach us to pray with humility, faith, and submission to Your will. May we always remember that it is only through the blood of Jesus that we have access to You, and may we honor that sacrifice with lives of obedience and love.
Lord, if this one does not yet know You as Savior and Lord, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them. Soften their heart to receive the gift of salvation, that they may experience the fullness of life in Christ.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
