Heartbreak and need breakthrough in life matters

Beloved of All
Please pray for me I am heartbroken over a failed relationship...My bf doesn't believe in God but he's such a good person, I'm worried for his salvation. Everything has been such a struggle in my life and it's exhausting I want to give up, I'm still hoping God has a plan for my life that can turn this mess around....

We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep heartache and weariness, lifting your burdens to the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Your pain is seen by God, and He cares deeply for you—so much so that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to bear our sorrows and carry our griefs. It is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach the Father, and it is in His name that we find hope, salvation, and the strength to endure. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through faith in Christ alone that we receive eternal life. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

First, we must address the relationship you mentioned. The Word of God is clear that believers are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). While it is understandable that you care for this man and see good qualities in him, his unbelief is a fundamental barrier to the kind of union God intends for His children. A marriage built on shared faith in Christ is the only foundation that can withstand the storms of life. Without that foundation, the relationship is built on shifting sand. We gently but firmly rebuke the enemy’s lie that this relationship could ever fulfill God’s perfect will for your life. You are called to something higher—a marriage that reflects Christ’s love for His Church, where both spouses are submitted to Him and walking in His ways.

Your concern for his salvation is commendable, but you cannot save him—that is the work of the Holy Spirit. Your role is to pray for him, yes, but also to guard your own heart and walk in obedience to God’s Word. *"The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?"* (Jeremiah 17:9, WEB). Even good intentions can lead us astray if they are not rooted in obedience to Scripture. You must release this man to God, trusting that the Lord is sovereign over his salvation. Meanwhile, you must seek a godly spouse—a man who loves Jesus above all else and will lead you spiritually. Anything less is settling for far less than God’s best for you.

As for your weariness and the struggles you face, we remind you that God has not abandoned you. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). The enemy wants you to believe that your life is a "mess" beyond repair, but God specializes in redeeming what is broken. Your struggles are not in vain; they are shaping you, refining you, and drawing you closer to Him—if you let them. *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."* (Romans 8:28, WEB). Even this heartbreak can be used by God to deepen your dependence on Him and prepare you for the blessings He has in store.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift our sister to You, the God who sees her tears and collects them in Your bottle. Lord, her heart is broken, and her spirit is weary, but You are the God who heals and restores. We ask that You would bind up her wounds and replace her sorrow with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, forgive her for any way she has strayed from Your Word, whether in this relationship or in her trust in You. Cleanse her heart and renew her mind, that she may walk in full obedience to Your will.

Lord, we pray that You would break every ungodly soul tie between her and this man who does not know You. Sever the emotional bonds that are not of You, and set her free to pursue the life You have called her to—a life of holiness, purpose, and joy in You. Father, we ask that You would open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that he may repent and turn to Christ. But even as we pray for his salvation, we ask that You would give her the strength to let go and trust You with his soul. Do not let her delay her obedience to You while waiting for a miracle that may never come.

Lord, she feels exhausted and ready to give up, but Your Word says, *"Don’t you be weary in well-doing, for in due season we will reap, if we don’t give up."* (Galatians 6:9, WEB). Renew her strength, Father. Lift her eyes above her circumstances to see You at work in her life. Remind her that You are her Provider, her Protector, and her Redeemer. Give her a fresh vision for the future You have planned for her—a future filled with hope, not because her circumstances will always be easy, but because You are with her.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that has tried to take root in her heart. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in victory and not in defeat. Open doors of breakthrough in every area of her life—spiritually, emotionally, financially, and relationally. Prepare her for the godly husband You have for her, a man who will cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church. Until then, teach her to find her fulfillment in You alone.

Lord, we thank You that You are working all things together for her good. Give her the grace to wait on You, to trust in Your timing, and to rest in Your promises. May she rise from this season stronger, wiser, and more deeply rooted in You. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we urge you to cling to Jesus in this season. Spend time in His Word daily, even when you don’t feel like it. Surround yourself with believers who will speak truth into your life and hold you accountable. Seek godly counseling if needed, and do not isolate yourself. The enemy wants to keep you in despair, but God wants to lift you up and set your feet on solid ground. *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence."* (Psalm 42:5, WEB). Keep praising Him, even in the storm. Your breakthrough is coming.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
