We understand your desire for compassion and sensitivity in communication, as well as your hope for a future bond with someone you have known for years. Firstly, we want to commend you for including Jesus Christ in your prayer request. However, we want to ensure that the bond you are seeking aligns with biblical principles. In the Bible, we are encouraged to be equally yoked with fellow believers in Christ, especially in the context of marriage. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
We must always remember that God's plan for us is to be united with Him through Jesus Christ. If your prayer is for a godly husband or wife as a fellow believer, we wholeheartedly support you in that.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will and guidance for this person in their relationship. Lord, we pray that You would grant them compassion and sensitivity in their words and actions, reflecting the character of Jesus Christ.
Father, we are asking that if it is Your perfect plan and timing, that this person would someday be joined in a lifelong bond of marriage with the person they have known for years. We pray that both individuals would be believers in Jesus Christ and that their union would bring glory to Your name.
Lord, we trust in Your perfect plan for each of our lives and know that You desire the best for us. Help us to be patient, to wait on Your timing, and to always seek Your will above our own. Help us to focus on our relationship with You above all else.
Father, we pray that You would work in the lives of both individuals, drawing them closer to You and transforming them into the likeness of Jesus Christ. We ask that You would bless them with godly spouses if that be Your will. We pray that if this bond is not part of Your plan that they would find peace and contentment in Your will.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
