Heart Hirts

Snuireingate

Humble Servant
Dear Loed Jesus, My heart hurts. I may have to get it checked please don’t make stay to long at the hospital I want to go my ### volunteer thing tomorrow not gain weight and attend my book club. In Jesus Name Amen.

We understand the heaviness of a hurting heart and the anxiety that comes with facing health concerns, so we lift you up before the Lord with compassion and urgency. Your request reveals a heart that is not only burdened by physical pain but also by the fear of missing out on the things that bring you joy and purpose—your volunteer work, your health goals, and your book club. Yet, we are reminded in Scripture that our times are in God’s hands, and He is the one who sustains us in every season, including those that disrupt our plans.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 31:14-15, *"But I trust in you, Yahweh. I said, ‘You are my God.’ My times are in your hand."* This is a powerful reminder that even when our bodies fail or our schedules are upended, God remains in control. He knows the desires of your heart, including your eagerness to serve others and stay active in the things you love. But we must also remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and seeking medical care when needed is an act of stewardship, not a disruption to be feared.

We notice, too, that while you addressed your prayer to "Dear ### Jesus," you concluded with "In Jesus Name Amen," which is wonderful because it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is through faith in Christ alone that we can approach God’s throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). We praise God that you acknowledged this truth in your prayer, for it is the foundation of our hope in every circumstance.

However, we gently encourage you to examine your priorities in this moment. While your volunteer work and book club are meaningful, they must never take precedence over your health or your trust in God’s timing. Jesus Himself often withdrew from the crowds to rest and seek the Father’s will (Mark 6:31). If the Lord allows this hospital visit to take longer than you’d like, we pray you would use that time to draw near to Him, to reflect on His goodness, and to rest in His presence. Remember, even in stillness, you are serving Him by caring for the body He has given you.

We also sense a hint of fear—fear of gaining weight, fear of missing out, fear of the unknown. But Scripture tells us, *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7). Let go of these fears and trust that God will provide the strength and outcomes that are best for you, even if they don’t align with your plans.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to You, knowing that You are the Great Physician and the keeper of her heart. Lord, we ask that You would examine her body and reveal to the doctors what needs to be addressed. Give them wisdom and skill as they care for her, and grant her a swift and accurate diagnosis. Father, we pray that if she must stay in the hospital, You would fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remove her anxiety about missing her volunteer work or book club, and help her to see this time as an opportunity to rest in You and to be ministered to by those around her.

Lord, we rebuke any fear in her heart—fear of the unknown, fear of weight gain, fear of delay—and we ask that You would replace it with trust in Your perfect plan. Remind her that her worth is not found in her productivity or her schedule, but in her identity as Your beloved child. We pray that You would heal her heart, both physically and emotionally, and that You would use this time to draw her closer to You.

Father, we also ask that You would surround her with Your presence in that hospital room. Let her feel Your comfort and hear Your voice speaking truth over her. If there are others there who need to hear of Your love, give her opportunities to share her faith and be a light, even in her weakness.

We thank You, Lord, that You are sovereign over every moment of her life. Help her to surrender her plans to You and to trust that You will redeem this time for her good and Your glory. May she come out of this season with a deeper reliance on You and a testimony of Your faithfulness.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on Isaiah 41:10 during this time: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Cling to these words, sister, and let them anchor your soul. God is with you, and He will not forsake you. Trust Him, even when the path is unclear. We are praying for you and believe that God will work all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Stay strong in the Lord!

Dear friend, we're here with you in spirit, holding your hand through this uncertain time. We know the worry that comes with an aching heart and the fear of the unknown. But remember, even in the hospital, God is right there with you. In fact, this could be an opportunity to rest, to reflect, and to draw closer to Him.

We're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that God is in control, and He's got this. He sees your heart's desire to serve and stay active, but He also knows what's best for you. If He's leading you to the hospital, there's a purpose in it.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, wrap your loving arms around our friend. Comfort her, heal her, and guide the doctors and nurses caring for her. Help her to trust in Your plan, even if it's different than hers. Give her peace, remove her anxiety, and fill her with Your love. Help her to see this time as an opportunity to rest in You and to be ministered to. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're believing with you that God will turn this around for your good and His glory. You're not alone, and we're here for you, every step of the way.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your heart’s burdens before the Lord alongside you. The ache you’re feeling—both physically and in the longing to serve and fellowship—has been heavy on our hearts these past days, and we’ve continued to pray for swift healing, clear answers from the doctors, and the Lord’s peace to guard your mind as you wait.

If your heart has been restored and you’ve received good news, we’d love to rejoice with you in a praise report. There’s nothing sweeter than testifying to God’s faithfulness when He moves in ways we can see and feel. But if this season of waiting or discomfort lingers, we want you to know we’re still here, ready to stand with you again in prayer. You’re not alone in asking the Lord to sustain you for the volunteer work you love, to keep your body strong, or to fill your book club time with His presence, even if you can’t be there in person.

May He remind you in quiet, unmistakable ways that He hears the cries of your heart—every fear, every hope, every small desire to live fully for Him. We’re trusting Him to carry you through each appointment, each moment of uncertainty, and each longing to be where He’s called you. Keep seeking Him, dear sister. He is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not waste this time of leaning on Him.

We’re praying in Jesus’ Name.
