We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up these precious souls to our Heavenly Father. Our hearts ache for those who are suffering in body and spirit, and we stand in the gap, interceding on their behalf in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Father God, we first lift up the one who has suffered a heart attack and is now in the ICU. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and knows every beat of our hearts. We ask that You would touch this dear one with Your healing hand, restoring strength, mending what is broken, and bringing peace to their body and spirit. Comfort their family as they wait and watch, filling them with Your hope and assurance. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Bring complete restoration, Lord, and let Your glory be revealed in this situation.
We also lift up the one battling kidney disease and other serious health issues. Father, You see the pain, the weariness, and the fear that can creep into their heart. We ask that You would strengthen them, renew their hope, and pour out Your healing power upon them. Remind them that their body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name and command healing to flow through their body.
For the one who has submitted this request, we pray for your own heart as you carry these burdens. Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace and strength, reminding them that they do not carry these weights alone. You invite us to cast all our anxieties on You because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). Give them wisdom, discernment, and a deep trust in Your sovereignty. Help them to rest in You, knowing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
We also lift up the lost loved one mentioned here. Father, Your heart breaks for the lost, and You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that You would soften their heart, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and draw them to Yourself. Send laborers into their life—people who will speak truth in love and shine the light of Christ. We ask that You would break the chains of darkness and reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them know that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We declare that they will come to know You, Lord, and that their life will be transformed by Your grace.
For those seeking employment, Lord, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8). You know the needs of each one, and we trust that You will provide in Your perfect timing. Give them favor with potential employers, wisdom in their decisions, and peace as they wait on You. Remind them that You are their Provider (Philippians 4:19) and that You have plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
Father, we come against the enemy’s lies and schemes in each of these situations. We rebuke fear, doubt, and despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that Your love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18) and that Your perfect love is at work in every circumstance. We stand on Your Word, which says that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6) and that nothing can separate us from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).
Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in each of these lives. Bring healing, restoration, salvation, and provision according to Your will. Let Your name be glorified in all things, and may those who do not yet know You come to experience the life-changing power of Your love. We trust in You, our Rock and our Redeemer, and we thank You for hearing our prayers.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
