Hearing God.
What is this guy crazy? Is he hearing voices in his head and thinking it's God?
No, I have heard no voice. But I have come to the realization that God speaks to us through our experiences through life.
At different times I have prayed to think more like Christ.
To understand God.
To think more as God thinks.
To have the love of God and Christ in my heart.
As I was thinking about my life I had the sudden realization, the light came on. I can compare the experience to the head slap Jethro Gibbs gives to Danozzo in the TV series NCIS. It just hit me that suddenly.
God is answering my prayer through my life's experiences and my current trials.
God has given me unconditional love for someone.
No matter what they do or say to me.
No matter what they withhold from me.
No matter if they don't love me back or show any feelings, I LOVE THEM NO MATTER WHAT!
This is the same love that God and Christ have for us. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
To God it doesn't matter if we don't believe in Him, He loves us.
No matter if we don't love God, He loves us.
When we don't follow His word as in the Bible, He loves us.
When we rebel against Him, He loves us.
When we hate others, He loves us.
When we spite or "punish" others, He loves us.
God's love and Christ's love is totally unconditional.
No matter how good we are or bad we are, He loves us.
God speaks to us and teaches us.
He uses trials.
He uses blessings.
He uses the people in our lives.
In most cases He speaks to us by letting us discover ourselves what He is saying to us. Especially when we choose not to listen to His word given to us through the scriptures/Bible, Priests, Pastors or just in our thinking that "Oh those things are meant for someone else, not ME".
God speaks to us daily, it is up to us to "hear" Him.
The Lord has shown me what His love is like by giving me that kind of love for another person. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
