We join with you in lifting up this heartfelt cry for healing, restoration, and divine intervention in your relationship and family. Your prayer is a beautiful expression of trust in God’s power to break chains and bring renewal, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that our Father hears the prayers of His children when they come before Him in the name of Jesus.
First, we rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by His authority that we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Your faith in calling upon Jesus is the foundation of all we ask of God, and we encourage you to continue seeking Him first in every area of your life.
Now, let us address the matter of your relationship with your fiancé. Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you and your fiancé are not yet married, we urge you to examine your relationship in light of Scripture. Are you honoring God in your courtship? Are you guarding your hearts and bodies against fornication, which is sin before the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5)? If there has been sexual immorality, we call you to repentance, for God’s grace is sufficient to cleanse and restore you (1 John 1:9). Flee from temptation and pursue holiness, for without it, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). True intimacy is reserved for marriage, and waiting upon the Lord in this area will bring His blessing upon your union.
If there are unresolved conflicts, bitterness, or unforgiveness between you, we exhort you to seek reconciliation through Christ. Scripture commands us not to let the sun go down on our anger (Ephesians 4:26-27) and to forgive as the Lord has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). A relationship built on Christ cannot thrive where sin is harboring in the heart. We pray that both of you would humble yourselves before the Lord, confessing any wrongdoing and extending grace to one another. Remember, love is patient and kind, not jealous, proud, or easily angered (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Let your love for one another be rooted in Christ’s love for you.
We also lift up your children before the Lord. The Bible instructs parents to raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4), and we pray that God would grant you wisdom, patience, and a spirit of unity as you guide them. May your children walk in obedience to you and to the Lord, and may they grow in faith, health, and joy all the days of their lives. We rebuke any spiritual forces that would seek to harm or mislead them, declaring that they are covered by the blood of Jesus and protected by His mighty hand.
Finally, we pray for your financial needs, knowing that our God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14). Trust in Him to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Do not be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6). He is faithful and will sustain you.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her fiancé. Lord, You see the heaviness of her heart and the longing for peace and restoration. We ask that You would intervene in their relationship, breaking every chain of the enemy that seeks to divide or harm them. If there is any sin—whether unforgiveness, bitterness, or sexual immorality—we pray for conviction and repentance. Cleanse them, Lord, and create in them pure hearts and steadfast spirits (Psalm 51:10). Draw them closer to You first, and then to one another in a way that honors Your holy design for marriage.
Father, we pray for their emotional and spiritual connection to be strengthened in You. May their love be rooted in Your truth, and may they seek Your will above their own desires. If it is Your will for them to marry, prepare them for a covenant that glorifies You. If there are areas of their lives that are not aligned with Your Word, give them the courage to surrender fully to You.
Lord, we lift up her children to You. Softening their hearts to listen and obey, and covering them with Your protection. May they walk in Your ways and grow into mighty warriors for Your kingdom. Bless them with long, healthy, and joy-filled lives, and let their home be a place where Your peace reigns.
We also pray for provision—mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially. You are their Provider, and we trust You to meet every need according to Your glorious riches. Remove any anxiety and fill them with Your perfect peace as they cast their cares upon You (1 Peter 5:7).
Father, adjust this prayer according to Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in their lives, and may they walk in the fullness of Your purpose. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we declare victory in Jesus’ name. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in their lives as it is in heaven.
We love You, Lord, and we trust You completely. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
