Beloved of All
Father God,
I come before you with a heavy heart. Asking for forgiveness on how I've treated ### in the past. I pray that you will touch his heart and put forgiveness in it towards me. Open his eyes to see the positive changes in me. Draw yourself closer to us and us closer to one another. Strengthen our bond. Create in us a new heart and a steadfast spirit. Remove any negative thoughts and hurtful memories from our minds. Come to us mentally emotionally physically spiritually and financially. In Jesus Christ let my prayer be adjusted according to the will of God. Lord, I need you, i thank you, i trust you, i love you. In Jesus Christ Name I pray Amen

We join you in this prayer with a heavy yet hopeful heart and we thank God that you have come before Him with humility and repentance seeking His forgiveness and His will. We hear your desire to be forgiven for how you have treated him in the past and to see his heart softened toward you, and we praise God that you have asked that your prayer be adjusted according to the will of God and that you have come in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

Scripture assures us that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We also cling to the promise create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me Psalm 51:10 which you have prayed so beautifully. God delights to give a new heart and a steadfast spirit when we turn to Him with godly sorrow and true repentance.

We encourage you to walk out that repentance not only before God but also before him whom you have hurt, as far as it depends on you. Bearing fruit worthy of repentance means showing the positive changes you pray he will see through consistent humble actions, patience, and love. We pray that you will continue to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32, and that you will let forgiveness flow both ways. Remember that forgiveness does not automatically mean restoration of the same closeness as before, for God must be the one to rebuild trust in His timing and according to His wisdom.

We lift up your bond before the Lord. If this is a romantic relationship, we pray that you will view this courtship with the goal of godly marriage as God intends marriage to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman that honors Him. We encourage you both to pursue purity and holiness together, for any sexual intimacy outside of marriage is fornication and does not honor God, and we pray that your relationship whether friendship or courtship would be centered on Christ and moving toward marriage to a fellow believer if it is His will. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you James 4:8, and as you both draw closer to Him, He will draw you closer to one another in the right way and at the right time. Seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33.

We also pray for the healing of your minds and memories. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2. We ask God to remove negative thoughts and hurtful memories and to replace them with His peace and truth, taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. We pray for you mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and financially, trusting that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and that He cares for every part of your lives.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this dear one who humbly seeks Your mercy. Lord forgive what has been done wrong and cleanse and create a new heart and renew a steadfast spirit within. Soften his heart and grant him grace to forgive as You have forgiven us, and help both to forgive and to release bitterness. Open his eyes to see the true change You are working, and let that change be rooted in You and not in mere human effort. Draw Yourself close to each of them and draw them close to You first, and then to one another according to Your perfect will. Strengthen their bond in holiness, honesty and godly love, and if it be Your will for them to walk together toward godly marriage, make that path clear and pure and centered on You. Heal their minds and emotions, restore their bodies and spirits, and provide for their financial needs according to Your riches. Remove what hinders and plant what is good, that they may be a new creation in Christ where the old things have passed away and all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. We submit this entire prayer to Your sovereign will, trusting that You hear us, You need us to depend on You, and You love us with an everlasting love. We thank You, we trust You, we love You, and we need You daily. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We hear how heavy your heart is as you bring this before the Lord, and we are grateful for your honesty in asking for forgiveness for how you treated him and for wanting to see real change continue in your life.

Wanting him to see that change and to forgive is a good and humble desire. We have found it helps to remember that forgiveness often happens in two parts. One part is a decision to release the debt, and the other is a slower emotional healing where resentment and hurt are gradually replaced with peace. Both take time, and reconciliation, when God brings it, takes time and willingness on both sides. You can be faithful with what is yours to do while trusting God with what is his to do.

One steady next step we encourage is to let your changed life speak quietly over time. Continue to live out the positive changes consistently, without pressing for a particular response from him. Give him space to process in his own timing, and stay rooted in trusted community, a pastor or mature believer who knows you both and can give you honest feedback and accountability as you walk this out.

Father, we lift this dear one to You and thank You for the work You are already doing in their heart. Shape them more into Your likeness, guard both hearts from bitterness, and bring healing where there has been hurt. Give wisdom to know what to say and when to be quiet, and help them to trust Your will above all. Draw each of them closer to Yourself first. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer breathes the spirit of a penitent heart, and to desire forgiveness and to seek a new heart and a steadfast spirit is a good and right desire before the Lord.

Hear this whisper which has driven despair from many a soul, there is forgiveness with God. As it is written, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake. It is a divine forgiveness, a surprising forgiveness, a complete forgiveness. The record of your debt may be nailed to the Cross, and the tally destroyed, for Christ the Just died for the unjust that He might bring us to God. If you tremble and shake for fear and with a penitent heart desire forgiveness, know that there is forgiveness now, at this moment, whatever your sins may have been, to be obtained from God through Jesus Christ His Son alone. Do as Martin Luther did when a brother monk said to him, do you not say I believe in the forgiveness of sins, now believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself. Believe that for you also there is absolute and eternal forgiveness when you put your trust in Christ, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

You ask also for forgiveness from one whom you have grieved, and for the removal of hurtful memories and the strengthening of a bond. It is right to seek to be reconciled where you have done wrong, and to hope that your repentance may be seen in its fruits. Yet remember that forgiveness with God must come first, and then healing follows. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins be forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. The very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing to the soul that comes to Him. He not only forgave at the first all our sins, but He continues daily to forgive, and that forgiveness is an eternal one.

We will pray with you, and as you wisely prayed, let this prayer be adjusted according to the will of God. We do not ask the Lord to bless any bond apart from His holy will and design, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy belonging to it is to be kept within that covenant in purity. What we do ask is that the Lord will draw you both closer to Himself, that He will create in each of you a new heart, and that He will conform your desires and your relationship to His perfect will.

We pray that the Lord would grant you first the sure knowledge of His own forgiveness through Christ, and then grace to walk in holiness, in honesty and in patience. If it be His will to soften the heart of the one you have hurt and to open his eyes, we pray He would do so in His mercy and in His time, and that any restoration would be upon the ground of truth, repentance and righteousness. If it be not His will to restore the bond as you desire, we pray He will still heal your memories, guard your thoughts, provide for your needs mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and financially, and give you grace to forgive even as you have been forgiven. For it is a joint work of mutual forgiveness among Christians, and for us to forgive ought to be as natural as to open our hands, since we have been so freely forgiven.

May the Lord keep you near the Cross where forgiveness flows, and make you to know that there is forgiveness with Him, that you may fear Him and love Him and trust Him with all that concerns you and the one for whom you pray. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.
