We come before the Father in agreement with you, lifting your plea for peace, protection, and deliverance from this distressing situation. You have done well to call upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace and receive mercy in our time of need. *"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB)

Your home should be a place of refuge, not fear, and we stand with you in rebuking the spirit of confusion, addiction, and violence that has taken hold of this man. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The fear you feel is not from God, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). We pray that the Lord will replace this fear with His perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

The situation you describe is deeply troubling, particularly the mix of alcohol and medication, which is dangerous and only exacerbates the spiritual and physical bondage this man is under. The Bible warns us clearly: *"Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB). Alcoholism is a form of idolatry, as it takes control of a person’s mind, body, and spirit, replacing dependence on God with dependence on a substance. We pray that this man would come to repentance and turn to Christ for true freedom, for *"no one can serve two masters"* (Matthew 6:24, WEB).

We also address the request regarding his wife taking him back. While we pray for reconciliation in marriages, it is critical that such reconciliation is rooted in godly repentance, safety, and wisdom. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). If this man is not walking in obedience to Christ, it would be unwise and unsafe for his wife to bring him back into her home without clear evidence of transformation. We pray that she would seek the Lord’s will above all else, that He would give her discernment and protect her from further harm. If she is a believer, we encourage her to surround herself with godly counsel from her church community, for *"in an abundance of counselors there is safety."* (Proverbs 11:14, WEB).

As for your desire for this man to leave your home, we agree with you in prayer that the Lord would remove this burden from you swiftly and peacefully. *"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."* (Psalm 55:22, WEB). We rebuke any spirit of delay or resistance in this matter and declare that the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray that this man would depart without conflict, that his heart would be turned away from your home, and that he would no longer have any reason or desire to contact you. May the Lord place a hedge of protection around you and your family, that no weapon formed against you would prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also encourage you to take practical steps in this situation. If you have not already, consider reaching out to your local church for support or seeking legal counsel to ensure this man is removed from your home in a lawful and safe manner. The Lord often works through the wisdom and actions of His people, and you do not have to face this alone. *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB).

Lastly, we want to remind you that the Lord sees your suffering, and He is near to the brokenhearted. *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). He has not abandoned you, and He will bring justice and restoration in His perfect timing. Continue to cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting our sister and her home to You. Lord, You are a God of order, peace, and justice, and we ask that You would intervene in this situation with Your sovereign power. We rebuke the spirits of addiction, violence, confusion, and fear that have taken hold in this home, and we command them to leave now in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against our sister shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of You, O Lord (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we pray that You would remove this man from our sister’s home swiftly and peacefully. Close every door that would allow him to remain, and let there be no confusion or delay in his departure. We pray that he would go far from her and have no reason or desire to return or contact her. Lord, we ask that You would bind any evil intentions he may have toward her and render them powerless. Place Your angels around her home as a guard, that no harm would come near her or her family.

We pray for this man’s soul, Lord. Break the chains of addiction that bind him and draw him to repentance. Let him encounter Your love in a way that transforms his heart and leads him to seek help. If it is Your will, restore his marriage, but only in a way that honors You and brings safety and godliness to both him and his wife. Give his wife wisdom and discernment, Lord, and surround her with godly counsel.

Father, we ask that You would fill our sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen her body, mind, and spirit, Lord. Let her sleep restfully, knowing that You are her Protector and Provider. Remove all fear from her and replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Give her the wisdom to take the practical steps she needs to take, and surround her with Your people who can support and uplift her.

Lord, we thank You that You are faithful, and You hear the cries of Your children. We trust in Your promises, and we declare victory over this situation in the name of Jesus. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your peace reign in our sister’s home once more. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Dear sister, we're here with you, standing in the gap and lifting your plea to the Father in the mighty name of Jesus. The enemy's tactics are clear - to steal, kill, and destroy - but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10).

We have been lifting your heartfelt plea before the Lord these past days, standing with you in the gap for peace, protection, and deliverance in your home. The weight of fear and unrest you’ve described has not gone unnoticed by our Heavenly Father, and we continue to intercede for you, trusting that He is at work even in the unseen. The burden of sharing your home with someone bound by addiction and strife is one no one should bear alone, and we want you to know we are still here, praying fervently alongside you.

If the Lord has brought resolution—whether through this man’s peaceful departure, his wife’s intervention, or a renewed sense of safety in your home—we would love to rejoice with you in a praise report. His timing is perfect, and we believe He hears the cries of His children. If this trial persists, do not hesitate to share an update so we may continue to storm the throne of grace on your behalf, asking for God’s divine intervention, supernatural calm, and the strength to endure until breakthrough comes.

We are praying specifically for the Lord to surround you with His angels, to quiet every storm of anxiety in your spirit, and to move mightily in this situation—whether by softening hearts, opening doors for this man to receive help, or removing him from your home entirely. You are not forgotten, and neither is your plea. Cling to the promise that the Lord is your refuge and fortress, your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 91:1-2). May He fill your home with His peace that surpasses understanding and grant you restful nights free from fear.

We lift you up again now, asking Jesus to shield you, silence every voice of harm against you, and bring swift resolution. You are covered in prayer, beloved. Do not lose heart. Keep seeking Him, for He is faithful. In Jesus’ name.
