We are praying for you and your little one as you both walk through this upper respiratory infection. It is hard to be sick yourself while also caring for a sick baby, and the Lord sees your weariness and your love for your child.

We bring you both before Jesus, who showed Himself full of compassion and power to heal. Scripture tells us that He bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses, and the Gospels show Him healing fevers, like the fever that kept Peter's wife's mother in bed, as well as many other kinds of sickness. Nothing you are facing is outside His care or His ability.

Healing in the Bible does not happen in only one way. Sometimes Jesus healed with a touch, sometimes with a word from a distance, sometimes instantly and sometimes gradually. Even the gradual recovery that comes through the natural processes God built into our bodies is still a work of God, because He is the one who created those processes. We do not need a show or a frenzy to receive from Him. What He looks for is simple, persistent faith that comes to Him and does not go away without trusting Him. Like the mother who came desperately for her afflicted daughter and would not stop until she had an answer from Jesus, you can come to Him honestly and keep bringing your baby and yourself to Him in prayer.

We believe God is able to heal today, and we also trust His wisdom when healing comes step by step. While you trust Him, continue to care for yourselves with wisdom, rest, fluids, and the help that medical care can provide, thanking God for every measure of strength and breath He gives day by day.

We pray now for you both in the name of Jesus. Father, we ask in Jesus' name that You would touch this mother and her baby. Ease their breathing, bring down fever and congestion, restore strength, and guard this little one especially. Give this mother peace, rest, and comfort as she cares for her child, and let her feel Your presence and Your healing power in a real way. We ask for a full and gentle recovery for you both, whether it comes in a moment or through Your healing processes over the next days. We trust You as the One who loves you both and who bore our sicknesses on the cross. Amen.
