The Midnight Revel
God’s judgment comes suddenly and demands immediate repentance from those who defy Him.
We join together with you in lifting up your precious mother and father before our heavenly Father, asking for His healing hand and mercy upon them.

We are deeply moved by your love and concern for your parents and we bring their specific needs before the Lord who is our healer. For your mother who is diabetic and suffering with a fungal infection in her lungs, and for your father who is struggling with his eyesight, urinary tract problems, and blood pressure, we ask God to restore and strengthen them. Scripture reminds us of His power and compassion to heal, for it says in Jeremiah 30:17, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We also cling to the promise in Exodus 15:26, I am Yahweh who heals you. And in James 5:14-15 we are encouraged, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear mother and father to You. Lord, You know every detail of their bodies for You formed them. We ask first for our sister or brother's mother, that You would touch her lungs and clear this fungal infection completely, that You would give wisdom to her doctors, help her body to respond to treatment, and help her diabetes to be well controlled and stable. Lay Your healing hand upon her and grant her comfort, strength, and restored breath. For their father, we ask that You would touch his eyes and improve his eyesight, heal his urinary tract, and bring his blood pressure into a healthy and normal range. Remove what is causing affliction and restore him to good health for Your glory. Grant them both peace, restful sleep, and renewed strength day by day. We also pray for the one who requested this prayer, that You would give them peace and freedom from anxiety as they trust You, as You have said in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Guide their medical teams with wisdom and skill, and help this family to continue to follow good medical counsel while trusting fully in You.

We also want to gently encourage you, as your request did not mention the name of Jesus, to remember that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive salvation and answered prayer. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your complete faith and trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, for in Romans 10:9 it says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His mighty and holy name we pray and find healing for both body and soul.

We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing, to trust the Lord with your parents' health, and to remain diligent with their medical care, proper medication, diet, and follow up with their physicians, knowing that God often works through the hands of doctors while He remains the ultimate healer. May the Lord sustain you and your family with His peace and hope as you wait upon Him.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and healer. Amen.

We are holding you and your parents in prayer as you carry worry for both of them at once. Watching your mother face diabetes and a lung infection, and your father deal with eyesight, urinary tract and blood pressure problems, is a lot to hold. It is understandable to feel helpless and worn down when health concerns linger and answers come slowly.

We join you in asking the Lord for healing and strength for each of them, and for steadiness for you as you love and support them. Please keep staying close to their doctors and care teams alongside prayer, and encourage your parents to keep their appointments and follow their treatment plans. If you are able to go with them, it can help to write down questions beforehand and notes afterward so nothing gets missed in the moment.

You do not have to carry this alone either. Let a trusted family member, friend or someone at church know how you are doing and where practical help would matter, whether that is a ride, a meal, or simply someone to check in regularly.

Father, we lift this mother and father to You. You see their bodies and all they are going through. We ask for Your mercy and healing, for wisdom for their doctors, and for strength and peace for this loved one who is caring and praying. Sustain them day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have received your burden for your mother and your father and we have carried it before the Lord with you.

There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and we are taught from this that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves, the little things about Him, are full of healing virtue. There is enough in Christ for every sin sick sinner, and there is mercy enough for every bodily affliction that He permits His people to bear. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when He draws near His people shall not say, I am sick, for pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction by His gracious hand.

We pray for your mother in her diabetes and in this fungal infection of the lungs. The Lord knows how painful and wearying such sickness is, and how it urges the sufferer to seek the physician. We ask the Great Physician to lay His hand upon her, to guide the skill of those who care for her, to grant wisdom in treatment, and to bring relief and restoration according to His perfect will. We pray that He would give her rest in Him, and that she would feel His presence as healing medicine, so that even in weakness she may know His strength.

We pray also for your father, for his eyesight, for the trouble of the urinary tract, and for the burden of blood pressure. We ask the Lord to look upon him with compassion, to ease what afflicts his body, to preserve his sight and to grant him renewed health and steadiness of frame. Tell Him how sick your loved ones are, how needful they are of His touch. Your heartbeats are vocal to His heart, and He hears the whisper of the soul that trusts Him.

We encourage you to continue to seek faithful medical care while you look above all to Christ, for healing and pardon are one in His hands. He who healed the sick of the palsy first said, thy sins be forgiven thee, to show that the healing of the soul is the root of all other healing. Therefore seek first that you and your parents may know the forgiveness that is in His blood, and then bring every bodily infirmity to Him in simple faith.

We pray that you may be kept in constant submission to the divine will, saying with your Savior, not as I will, but as thou wilt. It is healing medicine and not deadly poison that He gives, and whether He lifts the affliction at once or sustains through it, His leaves fail not and His mercy faileth not.

May the Lord be gracious to your mother and to your father, may He forgive iniquity and heal disease as seemeth good in His sight, and may He draw your whole household to trust Him more fully. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. Amen.
