We are deeply moved by your burden for your mother and we join with you now in lifting her before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name. To see a mother bedridden, critical, unable to eat, with decreased appetite and vomiting, and longing for her to rise up and walk again is heartbreaking, and we bring her frailty and your concern to the Lord who sees and who cares.
We pray together for her healing and comfort, for we know that all healing comes from God. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 declares, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We take comfort also in James 5:14-15 which teaches, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why we pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because of what Jesus did on the cross, dying for our sins and rising again, that we can boldly come to God and ask for mercy and healing. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in Him for forgiveness and eternal life, and to come to the Father through Him in all your prayers.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious mother to Your throne of grace. You know her body, her weakness, her vomiting, her inability to eat, and her critical condition. Lord, we ask You to lay Your healing hand upon her. We pray that You would calm her stomach, stop the vomiting, restore her appetite, and give her strength to receive nourishment. We ask You to restore health to her body, renew her strength, and if it is Your will, raise her up to walk again. Have mercy on her, Lord, and comfort her in her suffering. Give wisdom to the doctors and caregivers who are attending to her, and guide every treatment and decision. We also pray for her child who is carrying this burden, grant peace that passes all understanding, and strength and faith in this difficult time. We remember Your promise in Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. May she and her family feel Your presence and Your upholding hand now. We trust her into Your loving and sovereign will, knowing that You do all things for good for those who love You. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek proper medical care for her while trusting the Lord for His healing, to keep praying for her without ceasing, and to call upon faithful believers and elders to pray over her as Scripture directs. Keep bringing every need to Jesus, for He cares for you and for your mother more than we ever could.
