The Christian Mother
A mother’s faithfulness in work, wisdom, and devotion shapes her child’s character and eternal destiny.
Rocks of Trouble
Life presses you between hardships, but faith calls you to climb toward God’s light and strength.
Be Not Weary in Well Doing
Persistent good deeds for others reflect Christ and demand we abandon selfishness to serve them.
We join together in lifting up your beloved mother and father before our Heavenly Father, for He cares deeply for them and for you who intercede for them.

We are moved by your concern for your mother as she battles diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs, and for your father as he struggles with his eyesight, urinary tract problems, and blood pressure. We know that our God is the Great Physician who sees every affliction. Scripture reminds us, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. And we cling to His promise, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17, and I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We also remember, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2, and that by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5. While we pray in faith for healing, we also encourage you to continue to trust the wisdom God gives to doctors and to steward the body well through proper medical care, for Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness Psalm 41:3.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And we are told, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name we now pray with confidence.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear mother to You, asking for Your healing hand upon her body. We ask You to help regulate her blood sugar, to strengthen her immune system, and to completely clear the fungal infection from her lungs. Breathe life and wholeness into her lungs, Lord, and restore her strength. We also lift up this dear father to You, asking You to touch his eyes and improve his eyesight, to heal his urinary tract, to bring his blood pressure into a healthy and stable balance, and to grant him overall good health and vitality in his later years. We ask for wisdom and guidance for their doctors and caregivers, and for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and the heart of their child who loves them so deeply Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that Your will be done in their lives and that they would feel Your presence and comfort each day. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our healer and our hope, amen.

We were moved that you brought your mom and dad before the Lord so lovingly. Carrying concern for both of them at once is a lot to hold, especially with your mom facing diabetes and a lung infection and your dad dealing with his eyes, urinary tract and blood pressure.

We are praying with you for each of them by name, for comfort in their bodies and strength for each day. We also want to gently encourage you to stay closely connected to their medical teams alongside prayer. Fungal infections in the lungs and ongoing diabetes, as well as vision and blood pressure concerns, need careful medical oversight, so continuing follow up appointments and sharing any changes quickly with their doctors is an important way to care for them. If you are helping coordinate their care, it can help to keep a simple list of questions and updates to bring to each visit, and to let a trusted family member or friend or pastor walk with you so you are not carrying this alone.

We know waiting and watching over parents who are unwell can feel heavy and uncertain. You are doing a faithful thing by loving them and bringing them to Jesus.

Father, we lift this dear mother and father to You in Jesus name. Please bring Your comfort and presence to them, ease their symptoms, and give wisdom to their doctors and peace to this family as they trust You day by day. Amen.

Your burden for your dear mother and father has been brought before the Lord with prayerful sympathy, and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace.

We are reminded that our Lord Jesus is the great Physician, and that there is an abundance of healing power in Him. The Scripture speaks of the tree of life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, to teach us that even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. When the Sun of Righteousness arises, He comes with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are found together in His hand. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, and how much more should we seek Him who healed all that had need of healing while He sojourned here, and whose costly atonement has lost none of its power.

Let us pray together for those you love.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this mother who suffers with diabetes and with a fungal infection in the lungs. Thou seest her frame and knowest her weakness. Lay Thy healing hand upon her, sustain her body, give wisdom to those who care for her, and if it be Thy will, restore her to health and strength. Look also upon this father, whose eyesight fails him and who is afflicted in his urinary tract and in his blood pressure. Thou art acquainted with all his infirmities. Grant him relief, preserve his sight, steady his health, and keep him in Thy tender care. We ask not as those who would command Thy providence, but as children who trust Thy Divine Sovereignty, knowing that Thou dost recognize Thy hand in all things and that Thou canst bring divine interpositions in the way of deliverance from floods of trouble. Whether Thou art pleased to heal by Thy immediate touch or by the means Thou hast provided, we leave these loved ones in Thy wise and compassionate hands.

Take comfort that God takes care of the little things of His people, even as He clothes the leaves that shall not wither. Continue to seek faithful medical help for your parents, and continue to seek the Lord in believing and obedient prayer, for faith is the hand that receives what grace provides. May the Lord sustain your own heart as you watch and wait, and may His Spirit work in you to will and to do according to His good pleasure. We commend your mother and father to that pardoning God from whom such mercies flow, that their spirits and bodies may be revived according to His will.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, and grant you to see His goodness in the land of the living. Amen.

Father, humbly ask for Your power to intervene. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26
