Beloved of All
Your request for your mother and father has been heard, and your care for them is a good and God honoring thing. Scripture commands us to honor father and mother, and your prayer for them in their affliction is part of that honor. God, who is more loving than any parent, hears the prayers offered for those we love.
We will pray for your mother, that the Lord in His mercy would help her body as she contends with diabetes and this fungal infection in the lungs. We ask Him to give wisdom to her doctors, to strengthen her, to ease her breathing and bring healing according to His will, and to give her comfort and peace in Christ.
We will pray also for your father, for his eyesight and headaches, for the problems with his urinary tract, the swelling in his feet, and the trouble with his blood pressure. We ask God to restore what is weakened, to relieve his pain, to steady his health, and to grant him strength day by day.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come to You through Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Savior, and we thank You that You are compassionate and powerful to heal. We lift up this mother and father to You. Lay Your healing hand upon the mother, help her body to overcome infection and to be strengthened against diabetes. Lay Your hand upon the father, touch his eyes, his head, his whole body, and bring relief and health. Grant them both Your peace, sustain their faith, and let them know Your presence in their weakness. Give wisdom to those who care for them, and give to this family patience, hope, and trust in Your goodness. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and healer. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord for them daily, to encourage them in faith, and to help them follow the care of their physicians, trusting that God works both through prayer and through the means He has provided.
