We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious mother who is facing the trials of diabetes and a bacterial infection in her lungs. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. We stand in the gap for this dear woman, declaring Your promises over her life and asking for Your divine intervention.
Lord, Your Word tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise today, believing that You are able to restore her health completely. We ask that You would remove this infection from her lungs, cleanse her body, and strengthen her immune system. Give her the energy and vitality she needs to recover fully.
We also pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals attending to her. Guide their hands and their minds, Lord, so that they may provide the best care possible. Your Word says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We trust in You, Lord, to direct every step of her treatment.
Father, we know that trials like these can be overwhelming, not just for her but for her entire family. We ask that You would surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Let Your peace reign in their hearts, Lord.
We also want to gently remind this family of the importance of placing their trust in Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If this mother or her family does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they would come to understand the gift of salvation and accept Him into their hearts.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity that is attacking her body. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and health over her, believing that she will rise up in strength and testify of Your goodness. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for moving mightily on her behalf. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
