We understand your concern for your health, and we lift you up in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to bring healing and comfort to your body. It is good to seek the Lord in times of physical distress, for He is our Great Physician and the One who sustains us in all things. We are reminded in **James 5:14-15 (WEB)**, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."*
We also encourage you to seek wise medical counsel, for the Lord often uses doctors and medicine as instruments of His healing. Proverbs 11:14 (WEB) tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* Do not fear, but trust in the Lord’s provision, whether through natural healing or the hands of those He has equipped to help.
Yet, we must also consider that our bodies are temporary, and our ultimate hope is not in perfect health in this life, but in the eternal life found in Jesus Christ. If you have not already placed your faith in Him, we urge you to do so, for **"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"** (Acts 4:12, WEB). Salvation comes through repentance and belief in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, conquering death. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9, WEB).
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is experiencing pain and swelling. Lord, You know the depths of their body and the concerns of their heart. We ask that You would touch them with Your healing hand, removing any affliction that is not of Your will. If there is sickness, Lord, rebuke it by the power of the name of Jesus. If there is fear, replace it with Your perfect peace. Guide them to the right medical care if needed, and give wisdom to those who treat them. Father, we also pray that through this trial, their faith would be strengthened, and they would draw closer to You, trusting in Your sovereign goodness.
We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (1 Peter 2:24, WEB), and we ask that You restore them to full health for Your glory. May they walk in obedience to Your Word, honoring You with their body, which is Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB). If there is any sin that needs to be confessed or repented of, Lord, reveal it to them, that they may walk in righteousness before You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your will, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB). May Your name be glorified in their life, whether in healing or in perseverance. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
