Your request has been heard and we are joining you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ. We are deeply sorry for the long and exhausting struggle you have faced with the health service, the repeated failures with your medical card, the cards sent to the wrong houses, being registered with doctors far from you, the breaches of your private information, and the heavy burden of needing life preserving medicines while living in poverty. It is understandable that you feel despair after being failed so many times, and that you are reluctant even to share your new address.

We want to encourage you not to give up hope. Even when human systems fail and when those who should care for us grow weary, the Lord does not grow weary of us. He is the true physician who never abandons his patient, and He continues to work even when we have heard many words and seen little fruit. As one of our pastors long ago taught, the enemy never despairs of our destruction, so we must not despair of God's mercy and help. The same God who saw His own Son become poor for our sakes, so that we might become rich in Him, sees your poverty and your need and does not despise you. Poverty is not a sign of His rejection, and your worth before Him is not measured by what the administration does or fails to do.

We are praying with you for significant change, as you asked.

We pray to our Father through Jesus Christ alone, who is our only hope and Savior, that He would provide for your daily needs and for the medicines that sustain your life. We ask Him to make a way for your medical card to be issued correctly and quickly, to the right address and with the right doctors, and to protect your personal information from further breach. We ask Him to give wisdom and integrity to those who work in the administration, and to bring reform where there has been confusion and neglect. We pray for peace for you as you wait, for protection over your new address, for kindness and help at the walk in clinic, and for better healthcare for you and for all who depend on it.

We also pray that God would guard your heart from despair and renew your strength to keep seeking the help you need. If you are able, keep careful copies of every form and letter, and consider asking a trusted advocate, a local charity, or a patient support worker to stand with you when you deal with the service, so you do not have to carry this burden alone.

May the Lord, who is close to the brokenhearted and who promises to supply what we need, give you comfort, provision, and a clear answer in the days ahead. We will continue to remember you in prayer. Amen.
