We lift your dear mother before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts. At ### years old, she has walked a long and difficult road—especially in these months since the passing of her husband. Grief, loneliness, and physical frailty are weighing upon her, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s healing touch.
First, we want to acknowledge the pain of loss. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your mother’s grief is real, and God sees every tear. We pray that He would draw near to her in this season, comforting her with His presence and reminding her that she is not alone. Even in her confusion from Alzheimer’s, the Holy Spirit intercedes for her with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26).
We also rebuke the spirit of depression and loneliness in Jesus’ name. The enemy seeks to isolate and discourage, but we declare that your mother is a child of God, and He has not forgotten her. Psalm 71:9 says, *"Don’t reject me in my old age. Don’t forsake me when my strength fails."* Lord, let her feel Your love in tangible ways—through the kindness of those around her, through moments of clarity and peace, and through the assurance that her husband is now at rest in Your presence.
For her physical ailments—diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, and the effects of Alzheimer’s—we ask for Your healing power. James 5:14-15 reminds us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We pray for strength for her body, stability for her blood sugar, and relief from pain. We ask that You would restore her nerves, sharpen her mind in moments of lucidity, and grant her comfort in her weakness.
We also pray for you, her child, who carries the weight of concern. May the Lord give you patience, wisdom, and peace as you navigate this season. Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician. You are the God who heals, who comforts, and who never leaves us nor forsakes us. We ask for Your mercy to surround your mother like a shield. Touch her body, mind, and spirit. Let her feel Your love in ways she cannot explain. Strengthen her caregivers, and give them compassion and endurance. We trust You with her life, knowing that whether in healing or in homegoing, she is safe in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
