We lift your precious son up to the Lord, asking for His healing touch to rest upon him. Father, we pray that if it is Your will, You would bring comfort and relief to his body, that he may feel better tonight and that the sound of his laughter would fill the home once more. We ask that You open his appetite, Lord, so that he may eat and be strengthened. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
We also stand in the gap for your family and all those in the path of this winter storm. Lord, we ask that You sustain your power in their homes, that they may remain warm and safe. We pray against the dangers of cold and hunger, trusting in Your promise from Psalm 34:10, "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing." We declare Your protection over every life, every home, and every heart affected by this storm.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may try to take hold in this situation. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We trust in Your provision and care, knowing that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We pray for those who may not know You, Lord, that in the midst of this storm, they would turn to You and seek Your face. We ask that You reveal Yourself to them, that they may come to know the peace and salvation that can only be found in Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne of grace on behalf of this family. We ask that You surround them with Your angels, that they may be encamped around them, protecting them from all harm (Psalm 91:11). We pray for Your peace to fill their home, a peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We declare that this storm will not overcome them, but that they will overcome this storm through the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony (Revelation 12:11). We pray for Your will to be done in this situation, Lord, and we trust in Your goodness and mercy, which follow us all the days of our lives (Psalm 23:6).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
