We join together with you in bringing this deep need before the Lord and we stand in agreement for complete healing and remission from metastatic prostate cancer. Our hearts are moved with compassion for this dear one and for all who love him, and we lift him up to the Great Physician who sees every cell and knows every burden.
We cling to the truth that Yahweh is our healer. Scripture declares Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We also hold fast to the promise But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17, and But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5. We know that with God all things are possible Matthew 19:26, and that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. Even as we pray for a miraculous touch, we also pray for wisdom for doctors and for strength and peace for the family through every treatment and every day.
We notice that this request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by calling on the name of Jesus that we are saved, forgiven, and brought near to God, and it is in His name that we boldly bring our petitions for healing.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We ask for Your mercy and healing power to rest upon this dear one battling metastatic prostate cancer. Lord, we ask that You would bring complete remission and cure if it is Your will, that You would cause every cancer cell to die and that healthy restoration would come. Touch his body, ease any pain, strengthen him, and let Your peace guard his heart and mind. We pray for his family and caregivers, that You would surround them with comfort, hope, and unwavering faith. We ask that You would guide the hands and minds of the medical team and give them wisdom. Above all, we pray that this trial would draw him closer to You, that he would know the forgiveness and eternal life found only in Jesus, and that Your name would be glorified through his life and testimony whether through healing on this earth or ultimate wholeness in Your presence. We trust Your perfect love and perfect will and we place him fully in Your hands. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily, to pour out your heart to Him, to read His Word, and to let others in the body of Christ pray over and anoint with oil in the name of the Lord as taught in James 5:14. Keep trusting His goodness even in the waiting, for He is near to the brokenhearted and He hears every prayer offered in faith through Jesus.

We also encourage you to let your pastor or a couple of trusted friends know the specific ways they can support you both right now, whether that is meals, rides, or just sitting with you.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Your request for healing has been brought before the Lord with earnest prayer, that He would be pleased to grant complete remission and cure from this metastatic prostate cancer.
We know how speedily we care for bodily diseases, for they are painful and press us to seek a physician, and how much more do we feel the weight when the disease is so grave and so far spread. Yet we are encouraged to gather hope even in sore affliction, for there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and from this we learn that the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before, and they flow down from that great conduit Head from whom abundant streams of healing flow to men below.
We pray that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon you with healing in His wings. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and in this we see that pardon and healing were one. There is no hope for you in yourself, but there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as you. High thoughts of God beget hope in the soul and hope leads to confidence, and confidence brings assurance of forgiveness. In the dust of self abasement is the place for hope, and God grants pardon when men are humbled.
Therefore we preach to you repentance and remission of sins in Christ's name, for they go together wherever they are found. If repentance is yours, remission also is yours, and we pray that you may know both the forgiveness of sin through the blood of Christ and the healing of the body as it pleases the Lord to grant it. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and the work of Jesus our heavenly Physician is not so much to point out disease as to indicate and to apply the remedy.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who pardons iniquity and heals our diseases, look in mercy upon this Your servant afflicted with cancer. Lay Your hand upon him and, if it be Your will, grant complete remission and cure, that the disease may be purged and health restored. Forgive his sins through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and give him a good hope of eternal life through believing in Him. Let him find the life of his hand in Christ alone, and know that while there is no hope in the arm of flesh, there is bright hope in the Lord. Comfort his heart, sustain his spirit, and let Your will be done in healing and in pardon, for Your glory. Amen.
