It is good that you have poured out your heart so honestly before the Lord. He sees you completely. There is nothing hidden from Him. He knows your body, your mind, your marriage, your fears and your pain, and He looks upon you with compassion and sympathetic understanding of your weakness and need.

Only God can bring true healing. When healing comes it is His divine work and His grace. We join you in asking Him to touch your body. We pray for your hearing and the loud ringing in your ears, for your bowel problem, for your health in every way, and for relief from depression and anxiety. We pray for your marriage that God would help you get along with love and patience. We pray for your sisters and their families and for your friends. Jesus went about doing good and healing every kind of sickness, and He taught us to love one another, to forgive one another, to be merciful and not to strive. Ask Him to help you walk in that love and forgiveness in your home.

We also want to gently remind you of what is most important. Many times we focus our prayers only on the healing of the body and on the symptoms that trouble us, and we overlook the deeper need. The basic problem in every life is sin, and the greatest need any of us has is salvation. It is better to enter heaven even with a body that still suffers than to be whole in body and lost. Jesus looked with compassion and tenderness on those who were weighed down with guilt and said, your sins are forgiven, and what relief that brought. Whatever physical healing God may give, seek first His forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ alone. He alone is the way of salvation, and through Him guilt can be taken away and peace given to your heart even in the midst of suffering.

We lift up the young girl with brain cancer and her parents. We ask the Lord in His mercy to give her peace and to comfort and sustain her parents in this very hard time. We pray for your community after the school shooting, for the parents and children at that school, for the families of the children and the teacher who were killed, and for all who are grieving and afraid. May the Lord comfort those who mourn and bring healing to hearts that have been deeply wounded.

We pray that God in His compassion would meet you in each of these needs according to His wisdom and love, that He would forgive your sins through Jesus, give you peace of mind, restore what He sees fit to restore in your body, and strengthen your marriage and your family to walk with Him. Keep trusting Him, keep bringing every burden to Him, and rest in His care.
