Healing
We have heard your request for healing as you suffer with malaria and diarrhoea and we lift you up together before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus.
We know how weakening and discouraging this kind of illness can be, with fever and loss of strength and dehydration, and we are reminded that our God is the one who heals us. It is written in Psalm 103:2-3, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Exodus 15:26, for I am Yahweh who heals you. We cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And we remember Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive salvation and healing. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for in Romans 10:9 it says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through His name we pray with confidence.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus and we bring our dear one who is suffering with malaria and diarrhoea before your throne of grace. We ask that you would touch this body with your healing hand, rebuke the infection and fever, restore strength, stop the diarrhoea and bring balance and hydration back to the body. We ask that you would ease all pain and weakness and grant complete restoration to health according to your will. We pray that you would guide the hands of doctors and any treatment being given, and give wisdom to take proper fluids, nourishment and rest. We pray also for peace and comfort in this time of suffering, that fear would be replaced with trust in your goodness. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer. Amen.

We also encourage you to draw near to Him in prayer and in His Word each day, for He is near to those who call on Him. And we hold to James 5:15, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We very speedily care for bodily diseases for they are painful and weakening, and they rightly urge us to seek a physician for our healing. We encourage you to seek faithful medical care without delay, to keep hydrated and to follow the counsel given, while we look above all to the great Physician Himself. Physical strength is a desirable blessing, and when illness has long oppressed the body, restoration is often a slow process, the weakened limbs only recovering strength by slow degrees. Wonder not if recovery should be slow, and as you grow a little stronger acknowledge in each increase of strength that the Lord has a new claim upon your love and trust.
Scripture gives us sweet comfort concerning healing. It tells us the leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing, not only His fruit but His leaves are full of healing virtue. The prophet speaks of the Sun of Righteousness rising with healing in His wings, and when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, showing that pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. The greatest healing we need is the healing of the soul through forgiveness in Christ alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ and in no other, and when the soul is pardoned the whole man is brought under His gracious care.
Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus. There is a contact to be had with Him by simple faith, and there is healing in that contact. He who heals the broken in heart is able also to heal the body according to His wise and merciful will.

Lay Your healing hand upon the body, ease the fever, stay the weakness, restore strength and health as it pleases You. Grant wisdom to those who provide care, and give patience and peace in the waiting. Above all, grant the deeper healing of pardon through the blood of Christ, and let this affliction draw the heart nearer to Him who is our life and our Physician. Keep by Your power through faith, and let Your will be done in all things for Your glory and for good. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
