Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have heard your request and we join you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ for healing of the stuffed ear and for His leading as you attend the Biblical meeting.
Scripture teaches that the Lord in His love sometimes permits affliction for our good, to awaken us, to make us more earnest to hear His word, and to work patience and hope in us. At the same time He has promised to make a way of escape so that we may be able to bear what comes, and He invites us to bring every need to Him. We remember also how Christ, even as He was being seized, healed the servant's ear, showing His power and mercy in that very moment. He who did so then is able to heal now.
So we pray for you in Jesus name. We ask the Father to touch and open the ear, to relieve the pressure and discomfort, to restore clear hearing, and to give you strength and peace as you gather with others to hear His word. We ask Him to lead you in that meeting, to make your heart attentive and longing to receive comfort and truth from His preaching, and to use even this small trial to draw you closer to Himself. May He grant you grace to bear what remains with thanksgiving and to know His presence and healing according to His wise and good will.
We thank God for your desire to meet with His people and to be taught from Scripture, and we ask Him to bless your attendance and to bring you healing and encouragement. Amen.
