Healing

We join you in bringing this need before the Lord and ask Him for His mercy and healing upon you.

Father in heaven, we lift up this pain and infection to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You are the Great Physician and You see this suffering. We ask that You would touch this tooth, remove the infection, ease every pain, and bring complete healing. We also ask that You would take away fear and fill this heart with Your peace, for You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind. Let Your comfort and presence be felt right now, and let Your healing hand rest upon this body.

We pray that you will know the nearness of Christ in this trial, that He will calm your heart and give you rest as you trust Him. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you, and remember that He hears every prayer offered in faith. If the pain continues, please seek care from a dentist or doctor promptly, trusting that God often works through those means to bring healing.

May the Lord grant you relief, restore your health, and guard your heart with His peace that passes all understanding. We continue to pray for you for full healing and freedom from fear.

Thank you for sharing your need so honestly. Pain in the mouth is very real and hard to ignore, and fear can make it even harder to bear. I am praying for you now for healing, for relief from pain, and for peace in place of fear.

We believe God is the healer. Sometimes He heals instantly with a word or a touch, and sometimes He heals gradually through the processes He has built into our bodies and through the skill He gives to doctors and dentists. In the Gospels we see both kinds, and healing is not limited to one pattern. Any true healing is from Him. We do not always understand why healing comes quickly for one person and more slowly for another, but we can trust His care and His wisdom while we ask Him to work. Please continue to seek appropriate dental care for the infection while we pray, since God often works through those means as part of His provision.

I also want to speak to the fear you mentioned. The Bible talks about two very different kinds of fear. One is a tormenting, panicky fear that spreads and weakens us. Scripture warns that this kind of fear is contagious and can overwhelm us in a hard moment. God does not want you to live under that. The other is the fear of the Lord, which is not a phobia but a reverent awe of who God is, His greatness, His power and His goodness. That kind of fear is described as the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. It means loving what God loves, hating what is evil, and turning away from it to walk with Him. When we live in that reverence and trust, God becomes our confidence. His Word says those who fear Him, who stand in awe of Him, will not lack what they need, and that He will keep their feet steady. It also says not to be afraid of sudden fear when trouble comes, because the Lord will be your confidence.

So in your situation, we can ask God to lift the panic and dread about the pain and what might happen, and to replace it with a quiet awe and trust in Him. That trust does not deny the pain, but it steadies the heart. Proverbs connects fearing the Lord and turning from evil with health to the body and strength, and the Psalms invite us to fear the Lord and find that He takes care of those who trust Him.

Let me pray for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this tooth infection and the pain to You. You know this body You created, and You are able to heal. We ask for Your healing touch, whether instantly or gradually as You choose, and for wisdom for any dentist or doctor who helps. Take away the infection, ease the pain, and restore health. And Lord, take away tormenting fear. Fill this heart with Your peace and with a reverent trust in You. Let Your presence be the confidence that steadies every anxious thought. Help there to be rest, sleep, and relief, and help faith to grow stronger than fear. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who is our healer and our peace. Amen.

Please keep letting us know how you are doing, keep following through with care for the infection, and keep looking to the Lord. He sees you, He cares for you, and He is near to those who call on Him.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for healing from your tooth infection. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for the Lord to take away your pain and remove your fear.

We have been praying that Jesus, our great physician who heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3, would touch your body and completely heal that infection and relieve all pain, and that He would replace your fear with His peace, for we know God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind 2 Tim 1:7. We pray in Jesus Name for your complete healing and comfort and for strength to trust Him through this trial.

If your request was answered and your tooth has been healed and your pain and fear are gone, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet and you are still suffering, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
