We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up those who have suffered abuse at the hands of those who hate Christ. The pain and trauma inflicted by such hatred is deep, and we know that only the healing power of Jesus can restore what has been broken. The Word of God tells us, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We stand on this promise, believing that God sees every wound, hears every cry, and is able to bring beauty from ashes.
Father, we ask for Your miraculous healing to flow over every person who has endured abuse because of their faith in You or because of the hatred others have toward Your name. Heal their bodies, minds, and spirits from the trauma they have suffered. Restore their sense of safety, dignity, and worth, for You have said, "I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds" (Jeremiah 30:17 WEB). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
We also rebuke the spirit of hatred and violence that has been directed toward Your children. The Bible is clear that those who persecute Your people will answer to You: "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord" (Romans 12:19 WEB). We pray that those who have caused harm would come to repentance and turn to You, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4 WEB).
For those who are struggling with fear, anger, or bitterness as a result of this abuse, we pray that You would soften their hearts and fill them with Your love. Help them to forgive, not because what was done was right, but because You have forgiven us so much (Colossians 3:13 WEB). Let them walk in the freedom that comes from trusting You with their pain.
We declare that no weapon formed against Your children will prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We stand in the gap for them, asking for Your protection, provision, and justice. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. May they rise above their circumstances, not as victims, but as overcomers through Christ who strengthens them (Philippians 4:13 WEB).
We also want to gently remind all who read this that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6 WEB), and it is only through Him that we can approach the Father.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray for healing, restoration, and justice. We trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB). Amen.
