You pour out your soul before the Lord, and this is well, for He is the Physician of both body and soul. Yet let your prayer be seasoned with humility, not merely seeking deliverance from the sickness you fear, but surrendering fully to His will. Remember the three children in the furnace: they did not demand rescue, but said, "Our God is able to deliver us; but if not, we will not serve thy gods." Seek first the healing of your soul, and then, if it please Him, the body will follow. For what profit is it to have a benign tumor and a malignant soul? Many who once sought only bodily health and obtained it grew slack in faith, while others who bore affliction patiently received a crown far brighter than any earthly comfort.

You recall your mother's passing, and your grief is fresh. That sorrow can be a stern teacher. Let it remind you not to cling to this fading life, but to run toward the life eternal. Christ did not promise His children a path free from pain; He promised His presence in it. The gifts of healing are wonderful, but the Apostle teaches that there is a more excellent way: love. Without love, even faith that moves mountains and knowledge of mysteries are nothing. Do not fix your hope so firmly on the biopsy result that you forget the greater miracle of a contrite heart and a will aligned with God's.

I do not say this to minimize your fear. The Lord knows your trembling and has numbered every hair on your head. Continue to cry out to Him, but cry as the blind man did: "Lord, that I might receive my sight!" Not with the pride of the Pharisee who boasted of his worth, but with the persistence of the widow who would not cease. And while you wait for the physician's report, attend to the hearing of God's word. Often a soul seems deaf after many sermons, and then a single word breaks through and works a great conversion. Do you not believe that He who stilled the sea and raised the dead can also calm this storm within you? He can, and even if the news is not what you hope, He can make your bed in sickness and teach you songs in the night.

So pray for a good result, yes, but pray more earnestly for grace to trust the Giver of all good. Whether the tumor be benign or malignant, you are the Lord's. He will use this for your salvation if you let Him. I join my prayers with yours not only for your healing but for the healing of all who suffer, and above all for that healing of the inner man, which is the true health and the foretaste of resurrection.

The waiting for a biopsy result is an agonizing place to be, and the shadow of your mother’s recent passing makes it all the more painful. Fear rushes in so quickly when we fix our eyes on what might be coming, and forgetting God’s presence is what gives that fear its power. The enemy uses moments like this to paint the worst possible outcome and leave us trembling. But the cure has never changed: remember the Lord. He has promised, “Fear not, for I am with you.” That promise is repeated through Scripture because we are so prone to lose sight of it. When you feel the panic rising, deliberately turn your attention to the truth that He is beside you, holding you, even in the valley of deep shadow. Death itself holds no terror for a child of God, because His presence goes with us through everything.

Prayer begins with that relationship. The ear of the Father is open to His children, and He invites you to come with your request. But the greatest gift He wants to give you is not just a good report, it is Himself. Don’t let the urgent need for healing obscure the deeper need for the Healer. If you have trusted Christ as your Savior, you are already in that place of safety, and every promise of His care belongs to you. If not, the first and most merciful prayer He desires to hear is simply, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner,” and that opens the door to every other grace.

Bring your anxiety to Him honestly. He knows the medical reality and the history that haunts you. Prayer does not twist God’s arm or change His perfect will, but it does align your heart with His, and often it is the channel through which He purposes to pour out blessing He has already prepared. Sometimes He heals dramatically; sometimes He sustains through the trial, giving strength and grace that are sufficient for each day. Paul’s thorn was not removed, but he received something deeper, the power of Christ resting on him. And some of the most beautiful works of God in the lives of His people come wrapped in the very things we beg to be spared.

Do not mistake prayer for passivity. Pray with all your heart, and then act responsibly, keep your appointments, follow the doctor’s counsel, let the elders anoint you with oil and pray the prayer of faith over you if that is your practice. We set a watch while we trust God. And remember that He is a God who gives beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. He knows the loss you have already endured, and He is near to the brokenhearted. Weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

If the wait feels long, remember that God never delays without purpose. Hannah cried out for years, and the answer she received changed a nation. Even now, good things are laid up for those who fear Him. You are not forgotten. The same God who heard your mother’s cries through her illness hears yours, and His favor is for life, forever. So pour out your soul, and then rest in the knowledge that He is able to do far more than you ask or imagine. You are in a fight for your health and your peace, but fight in His strength, not your own. Greater is He who is with you than any enemy or any diagnosis.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, standing together with you in faith as you awaited your biopsy results. It has been on our hearts to continue lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to bring peace, healing, and clarity in this uncertain time. We know the weight of this moment, especially with the recent loss of your mother to breast cancer, and we have prayed that God would surround you with His comfort and strength, reminding you that He is near to the brokenhearted.

If the Lord has answered your prayer with good news—if the tumor is benign and you have been spared from cancer—we rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can celebrate His faithfulness together. If the results have brought a different outcome, we want you to know we are still standing with you. We will continue to intercede for your healing, for wisdom for your doctors, and for God’s peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. You are not alone in this.

We also lift up all those who are suffering from illness, just as you asked. May the Great Physician bring restoration, hope, and miraculous healing to every person in need. Thank you for allowing us to join you in prayer—it is a sacred privilege to come before the throne of grace on your behalf.
