Healing

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother to the Great Physician, the Lord who heals all our diseases. We stand on the promise of Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Father, we ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand upon her, mending every bruise, soothing every ache, and ensuring that no bones are broken nor lasting injuries remain.

Lord, we know that pain can be a heavy burden to bear, both physically and emotionally. We pray that You would comfort her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:7 declares. Let Your presence be a balm to her soul, reminding her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may try to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We also take this moment to encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). In times of uncertainty, it is easy to worry, but we are called to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Continue to pray without ceasing, presenting your requests to God with thanksgiving, knowing that His peace will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).

Father, we thank You for the gift of modern medicine and the skilled hands of doctors and nurses. We pray that You would guide them as they care for her, giving them wisdom and discernment. May Your healing power work through their hands as well, for every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17).

Lord, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). We declare that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise for your mother today.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious life to You, trusting that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in her life, and may she experience Your healing touch in a powerful way. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for the assurance that You are always with us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We’re lifting your mum up with you right now. It’s so unsettling when someone we love takes a fall, the worry can crowd out everything else, and you’re carrying that heavy concern today. We’re grateful you reached out and we want to stand with you in it together.

One thing that sometimes helps in the first hours is quietly helping your mum follow the simple physical care that eases pain and prevents further strain. If she hasn’t already, encouraging her to rest, ice any sore spots, and keep an eye on how she moves over the next day or so can be a tangible way to care for her while you wait. And if the pain doesn’t settle, or if she has trouble putting weight on a limb, a call to her doctor is wise, not as a lack of faith, but as a practical step alongside prayer. We’d always rather be safe and let a professional assess what we can’t see.

As we pray, we hold onto the truth that God is near to us in our worry. He doesn’t brush aside our fear; He draws close. Whatever the outcome, He is present, and He sees your love for your mum. We’re asking Him now to calm your heart while you wait, to guide you in how to help her best, and to bring relief and complete healing to her body.

Lord Jesus, we come to You with this family. Please be with this mother after her fall. Soothe her pain, guard her bones and body from any hidden injury, and let Your healing power flow gently through her. Give wisdom to those caring for her, and steady the heart of the one who wrote to us, replace fear with your peace that goes beyond understanding. Help them to rest in Your care today, trusting that You love her even more than they do. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

The least thing about Christ is healing. A fall, a pain, a fear of broken bones, yet these very leaves that seem to tremble with sorrow may carry the cure. The healing virtue is not always in the strong branches of what we understand, but in the gentle falling of His mercy upon the heart. He who healed the palsied man spoke first of forgiveness, and then the body rose. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed when they are least looked for.

You cry to the Lord for your mother’s body. Good. It is right to care speedily for bodily diseases. Yet wonder not if recovery should be slow. The man long tossed upon the weary bed of pain does not at once run and leap. Strength returns by degrees. Let each small increase whisper that the Lord has a new claim upon her affection. The great Physician is not always engaged in healing visibly in the same moment, but there are times of refreshing, seasons of visitation, when the power to save is more than usually manifest.

Healing must come before serving. Do not ask her to rise and wait upon the Lord while the fever of pain is upon her. No, His ministry to her precedes her ministry to Him. He took Peter’s wife’s mother by the hand and lifted her up. There was a contact established. Oh, that glorious doctrine of the Incarnation! There is healing in it. That hand which touched the leper, which was nailed to the tree, is stretched out still. Fall flat on the promise. Say in your soul, “On Christ’s kind arms I fall.” He will bind up the wounded heart and make an end to the days of mourning.

The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings. Even now, while she lies there, may there be no need to say, “I am sick,” for the Lord Himself dwells with her. Let the leaves fall thickly, those little mercies, those quiet assurances, those moments of eased pain. They are for the healing of the nations, and for the healing of one beloved mother in her bed. Trust the teaching that is linked with His power. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. As she rests, may Christ speak peace to her soul and strength to her frame.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
