Healing

I hear the desperation in your words, the deep longing to remain in this beautiful world and be free from the shadow of cancer. That cry is not lost on Jesus. He walked among the sick and broken, touching lepers, restoring sight, and raising the dead. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever; His power to heal has not diminished. So I join you in earnestly asking Him to remove every trace of this disease from your body, and to bring wholeness to all who are suffering.

Yet, as you plead for more days, let me gently remind you of something even more foundational. Real life, the kind that overflows with meaning and peace regardless of circumstances, is found in a person, not in a number of years. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life.” When we truly receive Him, we are given a new kind of life, a spiritual life that is united with His own. The old way, dominated by the fear of death and the tyranny of the body’s needs, loses its dominion. That does not mean our physical bodies cease to matter; God created them and He can certainly restore them. But it does mean we no longer have to be slaves to terror when they fail.

The reality is that every life, even the longest, is but a vapor. Apart from Christ, even a century of health can feel empty, like chasing the wind. But when He becomes the center, when your heart rests in Him rather than in the promise of more time, a profound shift occurs. You begin to experience life on a different plane, where the Spirit’s peace calms the storm of anxiety, and where your own days are securely held in the hands of a loving Father. He who did not spare His own Son will not abandon you now.

So by all means, pray boldly for healing. Activate faith that reaches out to the Lord who still works miracles. But alongside that request, ask yourself: Is Jesus truly at the center, or has the desire for physical life itself become the focal point? The rich young ruler walked away sad because he could not release his grip on what he treasured most. Jesus invites you, “Come, follow me.” In that surrender, you find that even if the cancer remains, His grace proves sufficient, and your spirit can sing. He can give you life that no scan can measure and no disease can extinguish.

Commit your way to Him. Trust that He knows the perfect timing for every miracle and every homegoing. He is not indifferent to your tears. He wept at a tomb before He called the dead man out. Right now, whether He heals you instantly, walks you through a long treatment, or ultimately calls you into His nearer presence, your life is hidden with Christ in God. That is the unshakeable hope. Lay hold of it, and let His Spirit fill you until your soul overflows, no longer a desperate sponge but a vessel of His love and peace. I am praying that His will be done in you, and that you will know His healing, strengthening presence in every moment.
