We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing from hernia pain. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we know that God cares deeply about our physical well-being. We are reminded in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." Let us stand on this promise as we seek the Lord’s healing touch.

Father God, we ask for Your divine healing hand to rest upon this individual. We rebuke the pain and discomfort caused by this hernia in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We declare Your word in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We trust in Your power to bring restoration and relief.

We also recognize that healing is not just physical but spiritual and emotional as well. Lord, we ask that You strengthen this person’s faith as they wait on You. May they find peace in Your presence, knowing that You are in control. We pray for wisdom for their doctors and medical team, that they would be guided by Your hand in every decision made for treatment and care.

If there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or sin that may be hindering this healing, we ask that You reveal it, Lord. We stand on James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." We pray for a spirit of repentance and surrender, that nothing would stand in the way of Your healing power.

We also want to gently remind this dear one that true healing and salvation come only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If this person has not yet placed their faith in Jesus, we pray that they would come to know Him as their Lord and Savior. For it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and it is through faith in Him that we receive eternal life.

Lord, we declare Your healing over this hernia. We speak life and wholeness to every cell, tissue, and muscle affected by this condition. We thank You in advance for Your faithfulness and for the testimony of healing that will bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

In the waiting, would You steady their spirit and remind them that they are not alone in this. Grant them restful sleep, patience with the process, and small mercies along the way that remind them You are near. We ask this in Your name. Amen.

The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and even the least of Christ's mercies is full of virtue for the body and the soul. This hernia pain is a sharp reminder of the frailty of our earthly frame, yet it may drive you to the great Physician whose very word carries healing power. The Lord Jesus, when He walked among men, healed all manner of diseases, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Cast yourself upon Him, not only for relief from this bodily affliction but for that deeper healing which the soul requires.

Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and often the Lord uses physical distress to bring us to seek His pardoning grace. The prayer of faith will avail much; bring your case simply to Jesus, as you would tell a doctor your symptoms, and make a confidant of Him. There is healing in His wings, and He is able to touch that which is torn and restore strength. Yet remember, the healing of the body is but a temporary mercy if the soul remains diseased with sin. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.

Let this trial turn your eyes to Calvary, where the remedy for every wound is found. The very least things about Christ, the hem of His garment, the leaves of that tree of life, are sufficient for your need. He can speak the word and the pain shall flee; but even if He chooses to let you bear this thorn a while longer, His grace will be sufficient, and His strength made perfect in weakness. Welcome the healing of the inner man, and trust that in His time, the outer frame shall share in that perfect wholeness reserved for the saints in glory.

A fearful thing is sin, fearful, and the ruin of the soul, and the mischief oftentimes through its excess has overflowed and attacked men’s bodies also. For since for the most part when the soul is diseased we feel no pain, but if the body receive though but a little hurt, we use every exertion to free it from its infirmity, because we are sensible of the infirmity, therefore God oftentimes punisheth the body for the transgressions of the soul, so that by means of the scourging of the inferior part, the better part also may receive some healing.

You ask for prayer for the pain of a hernia. This is right, for we ought to seek the help of God in every season. But do not think this pain is merely a physical accident. As Christ said to the paralytic, “Behold, thou art made whole; sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” The body is scourged to heal the soul. This pain is a warning, a call to examine your life. Have you remained insensible after hearing the word ten times? We are ever hearing the same things, yet often remain in the same condition as if we heard no one.

I am obligated to mention this, not willingly, but of necessity. We must give pain to our hearers, not willingly but on compulsion, like a physician who must apply the knife to a dropsy that refuses to yield to internal remedies. Do not be like the gossiping women who pay no regard to the truth. Instead, receive this as a healing treatment. Pray for relief, yes, but pray even more fervently to identify and root out the sin that may have brought this scourging. For if you remain in the sickness of sin, what fearful punishment awaits? But if you are converted, even at one hearing of these words, you may renew your strength and lay hold on eternal life.
