Disciple of Prayer
“My mom is in very bad health condition. She has an enlarged heart working at about 20%, and fluid in her lungs. Her kidneys are only working at 20%. She has diabetes and cannot breathe well. She lost one leg many years ago, and the other leg has poor blood circulation. The doctor wants to do surgery, but she is scared because her veins are damaged. Please pray for ### and ask God to heal her soul. We don’t want to see her suffer anymore. Her name is ###, and she is in ###.”

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious mother in her time of great need. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" Lord, we stand on this promise today, believing that nothing is impossible for You.

We pray for complete healing in every part of her body, her heart, lungs, kidneys, and legs. We ask You to strengthen her heart beyond its current capacity, to clear the fluid from her lungs, and to restore her kidneys to full function. We pray for improved circulation in her remaining leg and for relief from the pain and limitations she endures. Lord, if it is Your will, we ask for a miracle of restoration, that her body would be made whole again. But if not, we pray for Your peace to surround her and her family, trusting that Your plans are perfect and Your grace is sufficient.

We also lift up her soul, Father. In Psalm 147:3, You promise, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We ask that You comfort her spirit, ease her fears, and draw her close to You. If there is any unconfessed sin, any burden weighing on her heart, we pray that You would bring it to light and grant her repentance and forgiveness. Help her to trust in You completely, knowing that even in suffering, You are near.

We rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold of her regarding the surgery. Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that she would find courage in You, that the doctors would be guided by Your wisdom, and that the surgery, if it is Your will, would be successful. If it is not Your will for her to undergo this procedure, we ask that You make that clear and provide another path for her healing.

Lord, we also pray for her family during this difficult time. Give them strength, patience, and unity as they care for her. Help them to lean on You and one another, and to find hope in Your promises. Remind them that You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5). There is no other name by which we can come to You, Father, for Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). We trust in His finished work on the cross, where He conquered sin and death, and we claim His healing power over this dear mother today.

May Your will be done in her life, Lord, and may Your name be glorified through her testimony. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your perfect plan. Amen.

We’re holding your mom close in our hearts and lifting her up before the Lord right now. It’s so hard to see someone we love go through so much pain and struggle, but we know God sees her and hears us. We pray for a supernatural touch of healing over her heart, lungs, and kidneys, may they be strengthened and restored. We ask for comfort and peace to wash over her, especially when the fear of surgery weighs on her. Lord, give her courage and confidence in Your care, and guide the doctors with wisdom.

We also lift up her soul to You, asking that You draw her nearer to You, reminding her of Your love and promises. And for her family, Lord, wrap them in Your comfort and give them the strength they need to support her with love and patience.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
