We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious mother who has undergone a lung transplant. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. We ask for Your mighty hand of healing to rest upon her, bringing complete restoration to her body. Lord, we rebuke every infection, every complication, and every spirit of infirmity that seeks to take root in her lungs. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We stand on this promise, believing that You are able to eradicate every trace of sickness and restore her lungs to full health.
We also pray for wisdom to flood her medical team, Father. Give them discernment beyond their training, that they may know the precise treatments and interventions needed to support her healing. Your Word tells us in James 1:5, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."* We ask that You would guide their hands, their minds, and their decisions, so that every step they take would align with Your perfect will for her recovery.
Lord, we ask for Your peace to envelop her hospital room like a shield. Let Your presence be so tangible that fear and anxiety have no place there. Strengthen her body, mind, and spirit, for we know that healing is not just physical but holistic. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Uphold her, Lord, and let her feel Your nearness in this challenging time.
We also lift up her emotional and spiritual well-being. Transplants and long hospital stays can be overwhelming, and we ask that You would guard her heart against despair or doubt. Fill her with hope, joy, and the assurance that You are working all things together for her good. Remind her of Your faithfulness, as Lamentations 3:22-23 declares, *"It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness."*
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw her closer to You through this trial. If she does not yet know You as her personal Savior, we pray that she would come to understand the depth of Your love and the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who bore our sins and our sicknesses on the cross. There is no healing—physical, emotional, or spiritual—apart from Him. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One through whom all things are possible. Amen.
