We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and while we understand the desire for joy and even a small victory in something like Bingo, we must first examine the motives of our prayers in light of Scripture. The Lord delights in blessing His children, but our ultimate focus should always be on His will and glory—not merely our temporary desires. James 4:3 warns us, *"You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures."* While winning a game may bring fleeting happiness, we must ask: Are we seeking God’s kingdom first (Matthew 6:33), or are we allowing worldly distractions to occupy our hearts?
That said, we do lift up your request for healing—for you, your husband, and your families and friends. True healing comes from the Lord, who is our Great Physician. We pray that He would restore your bodies, minds, and spirits according to His perfect will. May He grant you strength in weakness, peace in trials, and joy in His presence. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2).
We also encourage you to reflect on whether this request for a Bingo win is truly aligned with God’s priorities for your life. The Lord may have greater blessings in store—ones that draw you closer to Him and His purposes. Instead of seeking luck, seek His face. *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). When our hearts are aligned with His, our desires will reflect His goodness.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the privilege of bringing our requests before You. Lord, we first ask for Your healing touch upon this sister, her husband, and all their loved ones. Restore their health, renew their strength, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Father, we also ask that You examine our hearts and align our desires with Yours. Help us to seek You above all else, to find our joy in Your presence, and to trust in Your perfect timing. If there is any area of our lives where we have placed worldly desires above Your will, reveal it to us and draw us back to You.
Lord, we surrender our wants and needs to You, knowing that You care for us deeply. May we find contentment in You alone, and may our lives bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, seeking His wisdom and direction. If there are deeper needs—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—we stand ready to pray more specifically for those as well. Remember, the Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth (Psalm 145:18). Keep your eyes on Him, and He will guide your steps.
