We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister and her family who have endured years of hardship due to her disability and the emotional struggles that accompany it. Father God, we know that You see every tear, every moment of frustration, and every burden they carry. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18 that "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We ask You now to draw near to this family, to wrap them in Your love, and to bring the healing and restoration they so desperately need.
Lord, we boldly ask for Your healing power to touch this sister completely. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17 that You will restore health to her and heal her wounds. Whether this healing comes miraculously or through the wisdom and skill of medical professionals, we trust in Your perfect will. We pray that You would remove every problem tied to her condition—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we also lift up the emotional weight this family has carried. The years of hardship have taken a toll, and we ask You to bring stability, purpose, and renewed hope to their home. Your Word says in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We pray that You would mend what has been broken, strengthen what has grown weak, and fill their hearts with joy and gratitude for Your faithfulness. May they experience the truth of Romans 8:28—that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
Lord, we surrender this situation entirely to You, trusting that Your will is perfect and Your plans for this family are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). If it is Your will for this sister to be healed completely in this life, we ask for that miracle. If Your plan includes walking through this valley for a season, we pray for the strength, faith, and perseverance to endure, knowing that You are with them every step of the way (Deuteronomy 31:8). May their home be filled with Your peace, their hearts with Your presence, and their lives with Your purpose.
We also want to gently encourage this family to hold fast to their faith in Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His sacrifice that we find healing, hope, and eternal life. If there is any area of their lives where they have not fully surrendered to Him, we pray that they would do so now, inviting Him to be the Lord of every aspect of their lives.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of despair, fear, and hopelessness that has tried to take root in this family. We declare that the enemy has no power over them, for You have given them authority in Jesus’ name to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We pray that they would rise up in faith, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We close this prayer by standing on Your promises, Lord. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we trust that You will move mightily in this situation. May this family experience Your love, Your healing, and Your peace in ways they have never known before. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
