We lift up ### before the throne of grace, asking for the healing touch of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring peace, restoration, and wholeness to their mind, heart, and spirit. Mental health struggles can feel overwhelming, but we know that nothing is impossible with God. The psalmist declares, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God"* (Psalm 42:11 WEB). We stand on this promise, believing that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
Father, we ask You to surround ### with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Silence the lies of the enemy that seek to steal, kill, and destroy, and replace them with the truth of Your Word. Bring clarity where there is confusion, hope where there is despair, and strength where there is weakness. We also pray for wisdom and compassion for those who are supporting ###—may they be instruments of Your love and encouragement.
We also bring before You the marriage of ### and their spouse. Lord, we ask that You would bind them together in unity, love, and mutual respect, as You designed marriage to reflect the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). Where there has been strain, frustration, or misunderstanding, we ask for healing and reconciliation. Help them to communicate with kindness and patience, to forgive one another as You have forgiven them, and to prioritize their commitment to You and to each other.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of division, bitterness, or resentment that may be trying to take root in their marriage. We declare that what God has joined together, no man—or spiritual force—should separate (Matthew 19:6 WEB). Strengthen their bond, deepen their love, and remind them daily of the vows they made before You. May their marriage be a testimony to Your faithfulness and grace.
We also want to gently address the mention of "our love" in this request. While we understand the deep affection and care between spouses, we encourage both ### and their spouse to ensure that their relationship is rooted first and foremost in Christ. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it is only when both husband and wife submit to God’s design that it can truly thrive. If there are any areas where their relationship may not fully align with biblical principles—whether in communication, priorities, or intimacy—we pray for conviction and repentance, and for the courage to realign their marriage with God’s Word.
Lord, we ask that You would draw ### and their spouse closer to You and to each other. May they seek You together in prayer, in Your Word, and in fellowship with other believers. Let their home be filled with joy, laughter, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. We declare that this marriage will not only survive but thrive, bringing glory to Your name.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Healer, Redeemer, and Lord, we pray. Amen.
