We lift up this precious sister before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who holds all power over sickness and disease. The news of a potential return of cancer can bring great fear and uncertainty, but we stand firmly on the truth of God’s Word, which declares that He is our healer and our refuge in times of trouble. The Scriptures remind us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh*, and in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."*
Yet, we must also acknowledge that healing may come in ways we do not expect—whether through medical treatment, a miraculous intervention, or ultimately through the redemption of our bodies in eternity. Our trust is not in the outcome we desire but in the sovereignty and goodness of God, who works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). We pray that this sister would experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and that she would be strengthened in her faith, knowing that her life is in His hands.
We also encourage her to seek the Lord earnestly in this season, drawing near to Him with confidence, for He has promised that when we ask anything according to His will, He hears us (1 John 5:14-15). Let her be surrounded by the body of Christ, receiving support, prayer, and encouragement from fellow believers who can lift her up in faith. If there is any fear, doubt, or anxiety in her heart, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Finally, we must ask: has this sister placed her full trust in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior? True healing—eternal healing—comes only through faith in Him. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Christ, we urge her to do so now, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this sister who is facing the uncertainty of illness. Lord, You know her body, her fears, and her deepest needs. We ask for Your healing touch to be upon her, whether through the hands of doctors, a miraculous work of Your power, or the ultimate healing that comes when You call her home to be with You. Give her strength, peace, and unwavering faith in this trial. Surround her with Your presence and the love of Your people. If there is any sin or unbelief in her heart, we ask that You would reveal it to her and draw her closer to You. Let her life be a testimony of Your goodness, Your grace, and Your power to sustain. We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and sickness in Jesus’ name, and we declare that You, Lord, are her healer and her hope. May Your will be done in her life, for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
