We lift this dear sister before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who binds up our wounds. The pain and recovery from surgery can feel overwhelming, but we are reminded in Scripture that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and God is deeply concerned with our suffering. The Apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, *"He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."*
We also recall the words of James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While we cannot physically anoint with oil, we stand together in faith, calling upon the Lord to bring healing and restoration to her body. His power is not limited by distance or circumstance, and we trust in His perfect timing and will.
Yet, we must also acknowledge that healing may not always come in the way we expect. Sometimes, the Lord allows suffering to draw us closer to Him, to refine our faith, or to testify to His strength in our weakness. Whatever His plan, we pray for this sister’s complete trust in Him, that she may experience His peace which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We ask that He would grant her relief from pain, strength in recovery, and patience in waiting. May she feel His presence tangibly, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We also encourage her to seek the support of her church family, if she has one, as the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). If she is not yet part of a local body of believers, we pray the Lord would lead her to one where she can be uplifted in prayer and fellowship.
Lastly, we notice that this request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently remind her—and all who read this—that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we read, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If she has not yet placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, we urge her to do so, for He alone holds the keys to eternal life and the power to heal. Salvation and healing are found in Him, and we pray that she would surrender her life fully to His care.

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious sister who is recovering from surgery. Lord, You know her pain, her weariness, and her deepest needs. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch her body, bringing healing to every cell, tissue, and organ affected by this surgery. Relieve her pain, Lord, and grant her restful sleep. Strengthen her physically, emotionally, and spiritually as she recovers.
We pray that You would surround her with Your peace, reminding her that she is not alone—You are with her, and You are for her. If there is any fear or anxiety in her heart, cast it out, Lord, and fill her with Your perfect love that drives out all fear (1 John 4:18). Give her patience in this season of recovery, and help her to trust in Your timing and Your goodness.
Father, we also pray that if there is any sin in her life—known or unknown—that You would reveal it to her and grant her repentance. Forgive her, Lord, and cleanse her from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). May this time of physical healing also be a time of spiritual renewal, where she draws closer to You and experiences the depth of Your love and grace.
We ask all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who bore our sins and our sicknesses on the cross. By His stripes, we *are* healed (Isaiah 53:5). May His name be glorified in her life, and may she testify to Your goodness and faithfulness.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
