Disciple of Prayer
Dear lord, my dear friend is suffering from Hidradenitis Suppurativa, a genetic skin condition that causes painful lesions that constantly ooze blood and pus and affect his quality of life. He wants to end his life because of this painful condition. God, please grant him the wisdom to see truth clearly, the humility to set aside pride, and the openness to listen and understand with compassion. Soften his heart, guide his thoughts, and let peace and clarity shape his decisions. And grant me patience and love as I walk alongside him. Please surround him with Your protection and hold him close in his pain. Fill his heart with hope, even when he feels lost. Remind him he is loved, that his life has meaning, and that he is never alone. Please give him strength to hold on and bring people around him who can help and comfort him. I pray for his life. I pray that he has the strength to hold on.

We come before the Father with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious brother who is enduring such profound suffering. His pain is deep, both physically and spiritually, and we know the enemy seeks to exploit his agony to drive him toward despair. But we stand firm on the truth that our God is the Great Physician, the Comforter, and the One who holds all life in His hands. We also rejoice that this request was brought before the Lord, though we must gently address that while the prayer was heartfelt, it did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, for Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Let us always remember that *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Salvation and healing come through faith in Christ alone, and it is in His name we boldly pray.

We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and suicide that has taken root in this brother’s mind. Satan is a liar and a thief, seeking to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10, WEB), but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly. We declare that this brother’s life is *not* his own—it belongs to God, who knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13, WEB). His suffering is not without purpose, for the Lord uses our trials to refine us, draw us closer to Him, and display His power in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB). We plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, body, and spirit, breaking every chain of depression, self-hatred, and despair. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* declares Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).

To our brother who is suffering: *Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB). Your pain is seen by the Lord, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18, WEB). The lesions on your body do not define you—you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and your worth is found in Christ alone. The enemy whispers that death is the only escape, but that is a lie from the pit of hell. Jesus is your escape. He is your healer, your peace, and your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB). Cling to Him, even when you cannot feel His presence. *"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved"* (Psalm 55:22, WEB).

We pray for supernatural healing over this brother’s body. Lord, You formed every cell, every organ, and every system in his body, and You are not limited by genetic conditions or medical diagnoses. We ask that You would touch his skin, restore his tissues, and bring complete healing to his body. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). We also pray for skilled medical professionals to cross his path—doctors, surgeons, or researchers who can provide relief and wisdom in managing this condition. Give him favor with those who can help, and let no door of opportunity for treatment or support be closed to him.

We lift up the friend who has brought this request before us. Your compassion and love for your brother are a testament to the heart of Christ within you. We pray for your strength and endurance as you walk alongside him. *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9, WEB). Speak life over your friend, remind him of God’s promises, and point him to Jesus in every conversation. Your presence in his life is a gift from God—do not underestimate the power of your prayers and encouragement.

Finally, we pray for a community of believers to surround this brother—those who will pray fervently, serve practically, and love unconditionally. *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2, WEB). Let him not walk this path alone. Raise up intercessors who will stand in the gap for him, even when he cannot pray for himself.

**Our prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this brother who is in such deep pain. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to flow through his body. Rebuild his skin, stop the oozing, and bring an end to the agony he endures daily. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we trust in Your power to restore him completely. We bind the spirit of suicide and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Fill his mind with Your truth, his heart with Your peace, and his spirit with Your hope. Remind him that his life is precious to You, that You have a purpose for him, and that You will never leave him nor forsake him.

Give him the strength to endure one more day, one more hour, one more moment. Surround him with Your angels, with godly friends, and with medical professionals who can bring relief. Let him feel Your presence in tangible ways—through a word of encouragement, a scripture that speaks directly to his heart, or a dream that reminds him of Your love. Break the lies of the enemy and let Your light shine into the darkest corners of his despair.

We also lift up his friend who intercedes for him. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your wisdom as they support their brother. Let their words be seasoned with grace, their actions filled with love, and their faith unshaken. Use them mightily to be Your hands and feet in this situation.

Father, we ask for a miracle. We ask for healing. We ask for deliverance from the grip of depression and hopelessness. And above all, we ask that this brother would turn his eyes fully to Jesus, the author and finisher of his faith. Let this trial draw him closer to You, not push him away. May he emerge from this season with a testimony of Your faithfulness, Your healing power, and Your unwavering love.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Dear friend, we're here with you, holding your hand through this storm. We're not just praying for healing in your body, but also for peace in your heart. We know the pain is real, but we want you to know that God is real too, and He's right there with you.

We're asking God to touch your skin, to heal your tissues, to bring relief to your body. But more than that, we're asking Him to fill your heart with hope, to remind you that you're loved, that your life has meaning, and that you're never alone.

We're praying for strength, for you to hold on, one moment at a time. And we're praying for those around you, that they would be a beacon of light, love, and support in your life.

We're claiming promises over you, like the one in Isaiah 41:10, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." We're claiming that over you, right now.

And we're not just praying, we're also believing. We believe in a God who heals, who comforts, who loves. We believe in a God who can turn this around, who can bring beauty from these ashes.

Keep fighting, dear friend. We're fighting with you, for you. And we're trusting that God will see you through this. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
