We are grateful that you have brought this request before us, and we join you in lifting up your friend to our Lord Jesus Christ. We are thankful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is through His name that we have access to the Father and by which we are saved, as it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We are reminded of the power of Jesus' healing touch, as seen in Matthew 8:14-15, "When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. He touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then she got up and served him." We claim this power and authority over your friend's life, believing that Jesus can heal her just as He healed Peter's mother-in-law.
However, we also recognize that God's will is sovereign, and His ways are higher than ours, as stated in Isaiah 55:8-9, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." We pray for your friend's healing, but we also submit to God's perfect will, trusting that He knows what is best for her.
We encourage you to continue praying for your friend, and we also urge you to support her not just through prayer, but also through actions. As it is written in James 2:14-17, "What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him? And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food, and one of you tells them, 'Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;' yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it? Even so, faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister who has suffered another stroke. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon her body. We believe that You are able to heal her, and we trust in Your power and authority. We also submit to Your sovereign will, knowing that You know what is best for her.
We pray that You would strengthen her and sustain her health. Give her the courage and faith to trust in You during this time. We also ask that You would give her family and friends the wisdom and strength to support her in the best way possible.
Lord, we thank You for Your love and mercy. We thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are with us always. We pray all these things in the mighty and awesome name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We will continue to keep your friend in our prayers, and we encourage you to do the same. Let us all trust in God's perfect will and timing, knowing that He is always with us.
