We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your need for healing, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. First, we want to acknowledge that you have called upon the name of Jesus in your prayer, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and we are grateful that you have recognized this truth.
The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We see that anxiety is not something we are meant to carry, but rather, we are to bring our concerns to God in prayer, and He will grant us His peace.
For healing, we stand on the promise found in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Our God is a healer, and we trust in His ability to restore your body to health.
For stress, we look to Matthew 11:28-30, where Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." We are called to cast our burdens upon the Lord, and He will sustain us.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, we ask that You would restore their body to health, according to Your will. We trust in Your promise to heal and make whole.
Father, we also pray for relief from the stress that weighs heavily upon them. We ask that You would grant them Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Help them to cast their burdens upon You, knowing that You care for them and will sustain them.
Lord, we pray against the spirit of anxiety that seeks to steal their peace and joy. We rebuke it in the name of Jesus and command it to leave. We ask that You would fill them with Your perfect peace, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and Your love. We trust in Your promises and know that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to meditate on His Word. Spend time in His presence, and allow Him to speak to you and minister to your heart. Remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust in His unfailing love.
